Sustainability
Analytics
b) Capacity building
c) Institutional and
programme
management
d) Networking,
institutional
linkages/positioning
e) Research and
development
Experience in capacity building/teaching and research responsibilities.
In particular, I like to underpin the importance of qualitative and
quantitative analyses in the management of agriculture and natural
resources for social, environmental and economic policy development,
to meet emerging global challenges regarding resource management,
biodiversity, climate change, agricultural productivity, rural welfare
and sustainable development. I possess the knowledge and tools to
track sustainability indicators, analyze and interpret data, and report
writing, including use of software packages like EXCEL, SPSS,
LIMDEP, STATA, E-VIEWS, GAMS, GPS/ArcGIS, and DSSAT.
Experience in developing and evaluating capacity needs, delivery of
training, and development of teaching, learning, training and research
materials.
Professional experiences and consultancy services with local and
international organizations (Universities, National Bureau of
Statistics, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, International
Livestock Research Institute, International Water Management
Institute, Food and Agricultural Organizations, several NonGovernmental Organizations). I have initiated and been involved in
many programmes and activities in many organizations/institutions,
including the University of Ibadan. I have come to appreciate the
value of diversity of cultures, gender, religions, opinions, etc., and
developed a very positive attitude towards them.
Experience in networking as the Welfare Officer for IARSAF-IITA. I
have played key roles in developing a networking strategy that
incorporates ownership and management in many organizations. Skills
in this area have enhanced the growth of programmes under my
management and my own professional growth.
I possess an excellent understanding of issues in research and
sustainable development. I have 37 publications and three on-going
researches. I have demonstrated experience in effective interactions in
a multicultural setting with other researchers and with policymakers,
donors, and civil society, across the world. I have experience in
identifying funding prospects and developing projects/grant proposals.
I participated in the grant proposal (Business Plan) that led to the
award of USD900,000 MacArthur Foundation Grants for the
establishment of the Master’s in Development Practice (MDP)
programme, Centre for Sustainable Development, University of
Ibadan, Nigeria. The MDP consortium comprises over 23 Universities
across the globe. I am currently a member of global team of
researchers working on Transformative Knowledge Network on
Sustainable Global Market Transitions.

f) Communication and
organizing ability
I believe in effective communication and feedbacks. I have
successfully co-organized and co-managed many local and
international meetings/workshops/conferences. For over five years I
have played major roles in organizing and facilitating annual
conferences, including the Ibadan Sustainable Development Summit
at CESDEV. I enjoy teamwork/collective actions for effective results.
I am able to operate easily with people from all social strata.
g) Administration and I have garnered experiences in administration as the Higher
academic leadership
Programme Officer at CESDEV and Pioneer Coordinator/President of
the Agricultural Economics Graduate Students Association
(AGEGSA), to mention but a few. I initiated the Graduate Interactive
Session (GIS) discourses at the Department of Agricultural
Economics, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I facilitated eighth sessions
of multi-disciplinary discourses of the GIS from 2007 to 2010.
h)
Research
collaboration
and consultancy
I have served as research collaborators to many organizations,
including the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI)
(http://www.ifpri.org/sites/default/files/ar09collab.pdf), International
Livestock Institute (ILRI-Ibadan), and International Water
Management Institute (IWMI), Ghana.
