The body of the letter
This is the main part of the letter. The first
paragraph usually contains an introduction, with
the main message of the letter in the following
paragraphs. Good paragraph form is necessary
throughout the body of the letter, that is, the first
word of the paragraph must be indented about 1cm,
with all other lines flush with the left margin. In
typed letters a blank line is left between
paragraphs, but this isn’t necessary in handwritten
letters.
