Coaching Psychology is an area of professional practice and research within the broader discipline of psychology. It is an individualized process of professional development in which a coaching psychologist works with individuals one-on-one and/or sometimes in a broader context, to enhance their effectiveness in their organizational roles and environments. The coaching process and relationship are designed to benefit both the individual and the organization in achieving their respective goals. Agreed – specific context. Controversy: Whether “team coaching” is coaching – or consulting. (More laughter) The practice of Coaching Psychology is grounded in scientifically established psychological theories, principles and methods.
