
Overview/Course Objective
◦ We will study the foundation of economics (from
scarcity to economic systems), micro and macro
economics, international trade and personal
finance.
◦ The main goal of this class is to give the student a
practical economic perspective of the myriad social
issues that we encounter in everyday life.

Attendance
◦ If an absence is excused you have one week to
complete any work assigned.
◦ Work missed due to an unexcused absence will not be
accepted!
◦ It is your responsibility to get make-up work or
missed notes when you return from an absence!
◦ You will be informed of upcoming tests well in
advance of that test, if you miss the day before a test,
you will still be required to take the test on the day it
is given.
◦ 5 times tardy and you will receive a referral. After 10
absences your administrator will contact you. (Yes,
technically you can be dropped after 10 absences)

Assignments
◦ No late work will be accepted! If you know you are
going to have an issue finishing an assignment on
time, see me. Homework should be typed and/or
emailed to Mr. Haglin (email address will be given)
