You have been in the job for a year and have really tried
as hard as you can. You have a yearly report to write, a
pile of books to mark, one NQT has just been to see you
in tears because they don’t feel they are coping with one
class; you have 50 e-mails to reply to, your lessons to plan
for the following day, a good member of the department
has just told you they are resigning just before half
term so you have a new post to advertise and you have
just found out that it is likely that the school will
undergo OFSTED.You get home and your partner is upset
that they don’t see you any more and that you are not as
happy as you used to be. They are worried as they haven’t
been able to get the shopping. Your son asks you to play
football.
