Sky Train feasibility study (2006)
Guided students to carry on feasibility study of Sky Train between Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The project involved Evaluation and survey to
asses the existing traffic between the twin cities. The out come is a limited company to start the project
Development of Solar Stove for rural cooking (2006)
Students under the guidance developed a solar stove to cook food in the rural as replacement of fire woods, leading to environment hazards
as well as deforestation. The stove is prepared but still needs some improvements for efficient performance.
School Bus Service (2004)
To study the prospect of private school bus service. Study was conducted to collect data of two localities of
Islamabad. The survey and the findings of the project suggested that with minimum management efforts residents can
acquire good and respectable transport service for their kids.
Small businesses sales promotion guidelines (2004)
A few shops were studied to identify weaknesses and strengths and to promote sales and business of the owner.
Web development (2004)
Few webs were developed as part of business projects by students.
Subway system design (2005)
A financial plan of a subway transport system was developed for Rawalpindi / Islamabad. The plan suggested capacity of transporting over
200,000 people each way per day.
Development of online businesses (2004)
A number of online business projects were developed and published for general public to opt. These projects included software sale, car sale,
leather sale and marble sale.
Evaluation of Utility stores corporation (2002)
A financial analysis of utility stores corporation was carried out. Recommendations were made to improve its performance
Electronic notice board (2004)
To abreast the students of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University of the latest news and notices four electronic boards (PC
based) were installed in the campus. Centrally connected with the intranet these boards continuously changes
screens and update readers.
Electronic attendance system (2004)
In electronic attendance system, using bar code system installed in campus for correct attendance record.
Computer application courses for Capital Development Authority personnel (2004)
8 courses each of three weeks (twenty hours) conducted to train the supervisory staff to use computer in their day to day office use.
Small businesses sales promotion guidelines (2004)
A few shops were studied to identify weaknesses and strengths and to promote sales and business of the owner
Special children support system (2005)
A project was designed to help the handicapped and special children. As part of project two advocacy seminars were held highlighting the
issues on electronic media. In addition an office management system was established to run the activities.
Review of HRM practices in the corporate sector (2003-2005)
Review of HRM practices in Mari Gas, Department of Petroleum and Energy Resources, Siemens, Jaffar Group of Companies, GOD, Pak
Telecom, and Aiva Waters.
School selection and role of parents (2004)
To access the role of parents, a survey was conducted all over Islamabad. Survey provided major considerations of parents in selecting
schools
Human resource management assessment of Varan Bus Service (2004)
Varan bus service, a local transport system was operating in Rawalpindi/Islamabad till last year. On the request human resource assessment
was carried out to identified strength and weaknesses of management.
Human resource assessment of Cirin pharmaceutical (2004)
Through a comprehensive survey and data collection it was assessed half of the workers of Cirin pharmaceutical were motivated towards
work.
Career planning seminars in schools (2003-2004)
A series of career planning seminars / lectures were arranged in over two dozen poor schools. Voluntary professors were given the task to
share their experiences with young kids and to guide them to choose a career.
Computer training for Islamabad Police (2003-2004)
Over 650 Police personnel of all ranks were provided basic computer application training including MS Office, MS Excel, emailing system and
understanding cyber crime.
Web advertisements project (2003)
A study was conducted to develop a manual focusing on how to advertise a web through search engines.
Marketing research fast food (2003)
To assess the potential of fast food in Rawalpindi / Islamabad, a study was conducted. Study highlighted that fast food culture is growing and
innovation is needed in the products delivered.
Conservation of walking trail No. 3 on Margala Hills (2003)
Walking trail 3 on Margala Hills was studied and refurbished with the help of sponsors to make it more convenient.
Refurbishing and improvement in children hospital PIMS (2003)
Study was conducted to identify missing facilities in the hospital for general public. With the help of sponsors those facilities were provided.
These facilities included relevant signboards, provision of benches, garbage buckets etc.
Truckers Language (2003)
A study to record trucker’s language as posted on rear of trucks was carried out. The objective was to see what sorts of pattern emerge.
Development of monument (2003)
Half a dozen monuments developed from industrial waste to highlight issues of peace, smoking, education and tree plantation. Each
monument was gifted to Capital Development Authority to be installed in Islamabad Zoo and Blue Area.
Rating index of commercial buildings in Blue Area Islamabad (2003)
For the convenience of visitors and general public, Blue Area buildings were given serial numbers. This was necessitated because the
previous CDA numbering was highly confusing and locating a specific building has always been difficult. This project was carried out in
collaboration with CDA. However after numbering was assigned CDA once again changed numbering policy thus official numbering system is
still pending.
Small business project (2003)
To provide opportunities of investment in small scale business the project launched with following activities.

Preparation of 50 project briefs of investment of less than 100,000
Training of around 50 potential small and micro entrepreneurs
Development Of Index Boards In Commercial Centers (2002-2003)
Commercial buildings in Blue Area, Islamabad are often devoid of information boards at the entrance. Through a project sponsored by
