Apply for admissions to the colleges in which they are interested. • • • Attend the College Application Day to get help starting or completing college applications on October 2, 2015 in the Media Center. Take or retake the SAT and/or ACT. Meet with counselor to arrange remediation of failed courses or 2nd semester dual enrollment at Daytona State College (DSC). • November – December • • Register for the Bright Futures Scholarship program after December 1st. – Counselors will help students register at our media center. Attend Financial Aid Night on December 3rd at 6:00 PM in our auditorium. Bring at least one parent. COUNTDOWN CALENDAR • January • • Meet with Mr. Rivera-Navarro to review graduation plans. Please provide a copy of acceptance letters or emails. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to complete it as soon as possible after January 1st. • February • Attend FAFSA workshop – February 23, 2016 in the media center from 4:00 – 7:00 PM COUNTDOWN CALENDAR • April • • • • Make final decision on college attendance and notify the appropriate admissions office.
