Call for Presenters:
Thank you for your interest in presenting at ALIGN 2014. We do not have all of the
details finalized, but we can tell you some important things already:







Dates – Monday, September 22 – Wednesday, September 24.
Format – ½ day Monday, full-day Tuesday and ½ day Wed.
There will be three breakout tracks and it looks like either 21 or 24 speakers will
be needed. We are moving the breakout sessions into larger rooms, so we can
make things work with three tracks. (I am VERY happy about that!)
Topics – TO BE DETERMINED! Right now, I am simply trying to see whether you
are interested in presenting. We can talk about topics later (after January 1st)
But – if you have a topic you really want to present, please let me know.
As always, speakers will get a complimentary conference registration and one
night covered at the conference hotel.
We are expecting about 20-25% growth in attendance.
We will be submitting the conference for HR CE credits again.
As for the CE credits, here is a link to the HRCI “body of knowledge.”
http://www.hrci.org/exam-preparation/bodies-of-knowledge We will need your
presentation to fall into one of the areas covered by the HR certification institute, and
employee development topics are almost always covered. Since we are an “Approved
Provider,” we can answer questions for you about your topic as to whether it is covered
or not. If you are interested in shooting for strategic certification, please let Chris
Osborn know (cosborn@bizlibrary.com) as soon as possible! These credits are tricky, but
we’d LOVE to have 2-3 presenters deliver strategic sessions again.

As you can see, we have a pretty solid schedule, and we’ve added to our support for
presenters this year. Each year we have a number of first time presenters. Presenting to
your colleagues and peers at a conference is a significant career achievement, and we
want to encourage anyone with a good story to tell to step forward! We will support
you all along the way, and we will be soliciting input at each of these webinars from
some talented and experienced presenters among our clients.
ALIGN is a fun and rewarding conference, and we want each of our presenters to leave
the conference with a high degree of satisfaction and belief in themselves.
