In his early teenage years, he joined a street gang called the Persian Warriors and was briefly incarcerated (imprison or confine) at the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. At Galileo High School in San Francisco, Simpson played for the school football team, the Galileo Lions. Types of crimes that were committed throughout his lifetime were robbery, burglary, assault, kidnapping, and conspiracy. 2/4/1997: Finds Simpson liable (accountable) in the civil wrongful death suit brought by the victim’s families (Ex. Wife Nicole Brown Simpson was killed in her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California along with her friend, restaurant waiter Ronald Goldman) – awards plaintiffs (Plaintiff: the person or group who is accusing/suing another person or group of some wrongdoing) $8.5 million in damages 2/10/1997: Simpson is ordered to pay $25 million in punitive punishment) damages to the victim’s families 3/26/1997: Court orders Simpson to turn over his assets (belongings), including a set of golf clubs, his 1968 Heisman Trophy & Warhol painting 9/16/2007: Arrested in connection with the conviction of armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel room – Police announce they booked (to get in trouble or caught for something that was done wrong) him on 6 counts of burglary, robbery, assault, and conspiracy (inflicting Criminal Record Part 2 9/19/2007: Judge in Simpson’s burglary case sets bail at $125,000, asks that he turns over his passport/not talk to people involved in the case 1/10/2008: Simpson is arrested in Florida and is extradited (person convicted is sent over to the jurisdiction of the foreign state in which the crime was committed) to Nevada for violating the terms of his bail by contacting person(s) involved in the trial 1/16/2008: Simpson’s bail is doubled after a judge finds he violated a court ruling. His bail is at $250,000 and cannot leave Clark County Jail until 15% of the bill is paid (Later released after paying full bail amount) 10/3/2008: Found guilty on 12 counts, including kidnapping and armed robbery 12/5/2008: Sentenced up to 33 years in jail, but will be eligible for parole after 9 years 9/4/2009: Nevada Supreme Court denies Simpson’s request to be let out of prison pending his appeal 10/22/2010: Nevada Supreme Court upholds Simpson’s convictions for kidnapping with a deadly weapon and other charges in his 2008 Las Vegas armed robbery trial 11/26/2013: A judge upholds (a decision was confirmed or supported) Simpson’s conviction on kidnapping, armed robbery, and other charges. Unable to afford surgery to correct the illness, Simpson endured the bullying of his childhood friends who took to calling him "Pencil Pins" because of his legs. Simpson denied ever hitting her, stating it was a result of friendly “wrestling”. As a person in the public eye, Simpson is constantly being faced by false accusations and legal battles in consumption with labeling of his wrong behavior. Through denying ever being a murderer and denying deviant acts including the robbery case, it seems that Simpson is denying responsibility for his actions.
