Banner Project Leadership Team
It is our distinct pleasure to announce Sandy Steele and Robin Brown as our Team Leaders for our
development of a single Banner Application for Purdue University Northwest. Sandy has agreed to
be the co-project manager leading the efforts for applications of end users in both Enrollment
Management and Academic Affairs. Robin has agreed to be co-project manager to lead the efforts
of the Enterprise Systems people who will build the technological infrastructure to operationalize
the functional aspects of Banner.
SANDY STEELE
Sandy previously worked in the Registrar’s Office at the Purdue Calumet campus for ten years prior
to accepting a promotional opportunity as the Assistant Dean of Operations at the Purdue North
Central campus in September of 2009. She has been responsible for enrollment management at the
Purdue North Central campus since 2011. Prior to her employment with Purdue, she worked in the
legal field as a paralegal. Sandy serves on various local and statewide committees in support of
higher education initiatives. Sandy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana
University, Bloomington, and completed her Master’s degree in Communication at Purdue
University Calumet.
ROBIN BROWN
Robin received a Bachelor’s Degree from Wilberforce University in Biology/Pre-Med, and
Master’s Degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Management of Information Systems. She
has worked in the Information Services field for over 28 years, starting as a programmer and her
current position as Purdue North Central, Chief Information Officer. Robin has 10 years’
experience in the K12 Educational arena and employed at Purdue for over 15 years.
We believe this is a strong team and ask everyone to help support their efforts. It is likely that many
faculty and staff will be asked from time to time to provide input into the operational processes.
Your expertise will be requested as needed by our project managers.
