ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Apply at ApplyTexas.org
• Be as detailed as possible. Scholarship committees look at this info.
• ACT/SAT must be sent from testing agency. Send ALL scores. Will accept December SAT
or ACT plus Writing scores.
• Send separate expanded resume (give every detail, craft resume based on interest
area)
• Transcripts- drop off or upload. Request in counseling office.
• 2 essays (written at college level) (Essay C required and 1 addtl)
• Market yourself (don’t stress about length)
• Letters of recommendation (no more than 2, must be information not found in resume
or transcript)—OK with no letters of rec
• Additional requirements for specific majors.

MAJOR SELECTION PROCESS
• 82% admitted student got 1st choice of major.
• No guarantee you can transfer into your major later so put your 1st
choice as your 1st choice!
• All Majors fill up with 1st choices first then, if there are spots open
in a major, will fill up with 2nd choices.
• If you are admitted and not selected for your 1st or 2nd choice of
major you will be given the option from the open majors.

ADDITIONAL PATHWAYS
CAP-Coordinated Admissions Program
--30 hours, 3.2 GPA guarantees UT transfer
--Through 7 UT System campuses
PACE Co-Enrollment
--1 UT course and the remainder at ACC (Austin Community College)
--Most rights and privileges of UT student
--Transfer as a sophomore into liberal arts major (2.5 GPA with 42 hours,
core complete)

HOUSING
• Apply for housing once your application is complete!
