accident. As I read, listen for the words:
• Unintended
• Fortuitous
• Adventageous
• potential
• Unintended- something that was not
planned, accidental
• The trip had an unintended benefit for
Sarah.
• Fortuitous- happening by chance,
accidental
• It was fortuitous that I won the raffle.
• Advantageous- means giving a favorable
benefit
• The agreement was advantageous to both
groups.
• Potential-means an ability or skill that may
develop in the future
• His teachers knew he had the potential to
be an A student.

• When we draw conclusions we need to
consider two things to base our
conclusions on:
• Information from the test
• Information that you already know
• Vital- important, crucial
• Air is vital to breathing and living.
• Breathtaking- astonishing
• The view over the valley was breathtaking.
• Bizarre- strange
• He drew the most bizarre picture of a
horse.
• High-pitched- shrill and piercing
• The girls made the most high-pitched
scream.
• Roost- perch
• The rooster flew up to roost on the fence.
• Headline- the title of a newspaper article
• The headline announced that we were at
war.
