highlighting the cooperative student culture at MSU-COM
•Helps to organize the information flow throughout MSU-COM
•Supplements Course Materials
•Limitations
•No official MSU-COM support will limit expansion and integration
•Student responsibilities limit maintenance & support, thus reliability
•Without continued student support, SD-TS operation ceases
•Potential for copyright infringement

# Hits

•Qualitative
•Determine SD-TS’s role in the student experience at MSU-COM as a
complement to the following information resources:
•MSUCOM official website
•Angel (MSU-operated)
•Official Course Documents
•MSU scribe system
•Methods
•Use SD-TS internal tracking abilities to examine the following parameters:
•# Files Shared on SD-TS, per subweb & course
•# Documents Posted, per subweb & course
•# Hits, per subweb & course
•Conduct focus groups with student leaders to discuss:
•Paper vs. Electronic Methods
•Study Tools vs. Course documents vs. MSU-COM Scribe system
•Multiple Methods of Communication and Learning
•General Impressions of all MSU-COM information systems
•Impressions from Data:
•Use of SD-TS is a significant & effective information medium at MSUCOM
•Especially in Study Documents and Class Website pages
•Does this imply that these services are lacking from pre-existing
MSU-COM information venues?
•Use per course is variable and intractable using current methods
•Students rely on SD-TS as an information source, though acknowledge
‘resource overload’ at MSU-COM
