Why are science safety rules so important? If you could add another science safety rule, what would it be? What do you know about the scientific Method? What do you believe Computer Science is? Where do you believe Computer Science is in the current job market? i.e. What types of jobs are available? 1. Getting to know you: The students will have a chart that will have different questions on it they will need to ask their group mates the first then get two other students from other groups to answer the questions about on their sheet. Going over the rules of the class and learning about their fellow group mates who they will have for 4 ½ weeks or shorter. Alice will be introduced with my video as well as other demos. Other videos from projects done in the passed will be introduced. If we have time after the rules I will then start introducing how they will start working on how they will do their worlds if they get the opportunity to. - The students will be using the graphic organizer 3-2-1 for to help them learn about the different rules and study for the quiz. Learning Activity 2 - The Inductive Reasoning Graphic Organizer to be used for the rules. Ms. Clevenger will work with the students on when we need to have the rules. - Run Alice Science Safety Rule Program. -Explain the assignment they will be completing. - Students will work on Alice Tutorial to help them add the – - Science Safety rules to Ms. Clevenger’s Examples. We will be using this for learning about the Scientific Method. more other Science Safety Rules. - They will also be adding Questions to the Quiz as well - Students will write up a short essay which rule they believe is the most important using the following graphic organizer. (The important thing about. ) Summarizing Strategy Day 1: 1. Classroom Scavenger hunt: The students will be given a sheet of paper. The sheet of paper will have clues on it, which will reflect different areas of the room. They will have to work as a group to get the answers and get the information done. This is a different way to for the students to understand the syllabus, classroom rules, and science safety rules better. We will go over the 3-2-1 organizers. Day 2: 2. Each group will review on their storyboard or a skit for their project with Ms. Clevenger. Will have a flash card test using the Alice world as the test taker. If we do not get to this quiz it will be taken on the third day. Day 3: 3. Go over their Inductive Graphic Organizer. 4. Review over vocab with Alice. Look at other tutorials Day 4: that will be gone over with the students. Review the Day 5: students current work that they have been doing. 5. Review over vocab with Alice.
