Participant Pool (URPP)
Summer 2014

Earn 4% of your final PSYC 1010 grade by participating
in psychology research
6 hours
in the
Summer
term
(May 5th –
July 29th)
4% of
your
final
grade

Go to the URPP website (http://yorku.sona-systems.com) and
create a new account.

Use a York email address/check spam box

It takes 3 days to receive login info

Enter your student number and course section
correctly

Write down your URPP identity code

Complete the prescreen questionnaire
 Especially demographic questions - last digit of student
number, gender etc.

1 “credit” for each hour of participation. A half hour study
would be worth ½ a credit.

You need to earn a total of 6 credits (6 hours) prior to July
29th to get your full 4%. You must earn 3 credits per term.

Each ½ credit = .33%

Warning: Do not wait until the last minute to earn your
credits.

If you have already taken Psyc1010 and are
doing it for a second time, you need to earn 6
new credits for this course.

You cannot transfer credits from a previous
course.
