Scored merit position in Univeristy during B.E. with 81.23% marks. Served as secretarty in MT Hall of Residence, IIT Kharagpur TRAINING Parallel Computing with Matlab Mathworks, December 2011 Introduction to Object Oriented Programming using C++, MGH, Boston, MA, Dec 2010 Data Structures and programming using C, SEED, Pune, INDIA, September 2007 Operating Systems, SEED, Pune, INDIA, September 2007 PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN Motor Imagery based Brain-Computer Interface Developed a BCI system using MATLAB platform consisting of data-acquisition, presentation and classification module. Classification of EEG trial signals was done using Fisher Discriminant Analysis (FDA) using Common Spatial Pattern(CSP) based feature extraction. RSVP-iconCHAT Work includes developing a communication system for autistic population. Contributed to EEG acquisition, data classification and communication between signal processing and presentation module. RSVP Keyboard Worked in a team designing Brain Computer Interface based typing interface for population suffering from locked in syndrome (LIS). Contribution included creating LabView based data acquisition module that acquires EEG data from amplifier with real-time signal display on the screen, real-time spectrum analyser. BCI Artifact reduction module design Artifact reduction code: Used Least Mean Squares based adaptive filtering approach to filter out artifact components form EEG signal Ocular artifact identification and rejection: Used template matching approach for identifying eye-blink artifacts from EEG signals and designed a code to remove trials with artifacts from evaluation. MPEG-4 Video Encoder API Design Wrote API for video encoder based on MPEG-4 video standard for hand-held device team in Nvidia Graphics Tested system on Windows based PCI slot, Linux using Mini-me. Designed several applications for clients – video conferencing, capture screen shot during video playback. H.264 Video Decoder Design Implements H.264 standard based video decoder on Multi-DSP chip Shalini Purwar PUBLICATIONS H. Nezamfar, U. Orhan, S. Purwar, K.E. Hild, B. Oken, D.
