PC Concrete Beams / PC Conrete Culverts / Reinforced Earth Retaining Walls / Structural Steel / Specialist SubContractors – piling - / etc Galliford Try Plc Construction Intention is to harness local supply chain where appropriate To date: Staff: 50% recruited locally (expected to recruit 70/80% of remaining staff locally) Engineering surveyors: 4D CES, Plymouth Site Clearance: KJ Thornburn Paignton / Newton Abbot Future Opportunities Earthworks & Drainage Galliford Try Plc Programme October 2012 – March 2013 • Complete the detailed design and approvals • Continue with mobilising the construction team • Complete demolitions and site clearance (trees, hedges, scrub) • Commence utility diversion works at Penn Inn / Addison Road (detailed surveys and planning currently ongoing) • Commence culvert works at Sainsbury, inc service diversions (mid Jan 2013) Galliford Try Plc Programme Spring / Summer / into Autumn 2013 • Complete ecological mitigation (reptiles at Edginswell) • Commence earthworks :– - establish haul route through site from the south (cut at Hamlin Way) - establish working platform at Aller Junction - commence retaining walls at north end east and west side of existing carriageway • Install Culverts and drainage infrastructure (inc temp surface water control measures) • Continue / complete retaining walls at north end • Establish temp diversion of Yon St • Complete Elmcroft Link Road, Churchway Lane Diversion and Access into land opposite Edginswell Lane • Commence Structures :- Penn Inn Ramps (north & south) - Aller Tunnel - Aller Road Overbridge - Aller Cross Underbridge - Cattle Creep Extension and Extension of Edginswell Overbridge at Hamlin Way Galliford Try Plc Programme 2013 - 2014 • Complete north end (Penn Inn to Barn Owl) by summer 2014 with main flyover complete by winter 2014 • Continue with all earthworks, drainage, pavement activities between Aller Junction and Hamlin Way 2014 - 2015 • Pending completion of detailed design, approvals and construction planning it is anticipated that completion will be in advance of December 2015
