The ABBAYE DES ROCS BREWERY has its roots in a little picturesque village, a true green spot
in an area since populated with flourishing industries.
Brewing activities started in 1979.
Production capacity was then 50 litres every two weeks.
In 1987: the producers made a new building that could house 1500 l vats. Co-operative
society formed.
In 1991: registration of brands and construction of a building for fermentation and storage of
finished products.
In 1993: transformation from co-operative society to limited company. Purchase of new
equipment for bottling (cleaning, bottling, stoppering, bottle casing and labelling).
In 1994 and 1995: production was 600 hl.
In 1996: production is close to 1,000 hl, construction of new warehouse and installation of
new brewing room able to produce 50 hl per vat.
ABBAYE DES ROCS (9% alcohol vol.) is a pure malt beer, with no added sugar. The entire
range of tastes is directly linked to the double fermentation, the precise quantities of malts
(7 types) as well as the mixtures of three kinds of hops (Belgian, German and Czech). Its
colour is a striking deep and majestic red. Its taste is rich and full of subtlety. It is tasted like a
red wine with which it shares the ruby colour without having the tannin. It develops a strong
sweet smell. It confirms the initial impression in the first mouthful, with a sharp body that is
balanced with a certain fruitiness. It frees itself on the palate and develops an impressive
depth of taste. Some traces of burnt wood are detectable, but never scorched even if it
contains this kind of malt. The foretaste is very prolonged because of its rich and unctuous
development throughout the mouth. The bitter and sugar tendencies (even though there is
no sugar in its composition) compete and come back together to the taster's great
satisfaction. It is a deep, mystic and extremely mature beer to be classed among the great
products of our soil.
The inhabitants of Montignies-sur-Roc, south of Mons in the province of Hainaut, are called
Montagnards. It was therefore perfectly normal for a beer brewed in this city to be called
Montagnarde. This beer, robust in taste and strength (9%) is the tops for flavour. It has a
fruity and spicy bouquet; it has a stark taste, between a sharp bitterness and a caramelised
flavour. It has no sugar, and this pure malt beer oscillates between various tendencies which
all round off the bitterness. It has a peppery taste at the back of the mouth and sharpness on
the tongue. It is active in the mouth and lets each flavour express itself individually. It is very
active in the glass which gives it a full, lasting, head. It has a long conclusion and puts
emphasis on an ever present bitterness but less supported by the caramel. The final
impression is one of gingerbread without sugar.
Blanche des Honnelles (1991) was originally very localised, and has since expanded beyond
the boundries of the greater and lesser Honnelle rivers, from which it takes its name. The
Blanche des Honnelles leaves the beaten path somewhat. It has an amber colour which is
after all the traditional appearance of the Blanches. It is also stronger (6%) than the Blanches
that we know. Its taste is surprising and is not comparable to the brews with the same name
that is now on the market. If the bouquet is subdued its first flavour is a stark dry sharpness
against a pepper background. There is no acidity in this Blanche that is made with three
cereals (barley, wheat and oats). It has a stimulating taste, leaving a subdued but refreshing
final impression. Lots of character and curious
All the beers are made with water from a well in the rocky subsoil, with malt, hops and
spices. They are natural without added sugars and guaranteed to be without chemical
additives.

BASIC BUSINESS – FIT FOOD
Z.I. - Rue de la Terre à Briques, 39
7522 BLANDAIN
Tel: 32-(0)69848700 - Fax: 32-(0)69454200
Email: info@fitfood.be - Web: www.fitfood.be
Contact person: Mr Grégory VERHAEGHE
It all started in 2000
The history of FIT FOOD started in 2000, after finishing their studies (production) Anthony
Verhaeghe & (marketing-sales) Gregory Verhaeghe, they went into his father’s meat
business who was specialised in export of meat and meat products. From one to another
moment the meat export business collapsed, because of the dioxin crisis.
Anthony Verhaeghe started a new production plant in Belgium, with the same staff and
technicians who were already 30 years in the business with a large experience. With their
know-how of the meat business, they developed new vegetarian products and organic
vegetarian products.
The production company produces the vegetarian FIT FOOD products under licence of the
company Linck who is the owner of the registered trade-mark FIT FOOD. Linck is the
worldwide sales company for the FIT FOOD products.
Research
A year was based on research, how to make a good tasty product without meat and based
on organic ingredients. We looked around which kind of organic vegetarian food was already
available on the market all over Europe. There were already different kind of products, most
of them were based on soy, seitan and tofu and there was a large range of quorn products.
After research we started to develop products based on wheat and vegetables, while the
consumer asked for a product with different basic ingredients.
All our products were tested in an external lab for vegetarian and organic food.
We got the Organic Guarantee Certificates from the national Institute in Belgium who
controles the organic ingredients.
We started to sell our products in the organic shops as a test. Seven years ago we went to
every exhibition of organic food in Europe and in the UAE where our products were
introduced and tested. The reactions were very positive.
Brand
Since 2012 years we offer the brand FIT FOOD which is:







based on wheat, cereals, vegetables & eggwhite
vegetarian
organic
no soy
the ingredients free from GMO
rich in Omega-3
low cholesterol
In 2003 our production site moved to Drongen (50km from Brussels and Antwerp).
Quality
The production place has been controlled several times by a very select organism in the food
inspection named Loyds, that organism does audits for the retail market specially for the
largest supermarket chains as Wal Mart, Real, Edeka, Carrefour, GB, HIT, Coop, Famila,
Metro, Makro, Spar, Bioplanet - Colruyt, etc.
For the production of our products we are following the very strict instructions of the Haccp
& BRC.
In 2008 FIT FOOD moved again to a totally new production unit in Tournai. Situated in the
french speaking part of Belgium. The new production unit will be conform to the highest
level of hygiene standards of BRC5.
From day to day we are looking to improve the high quality norms for all of our products. It
starts from the basic:




Buying the best organic ingredients
Optimal stocking of the goods in our refrigerators max. 4°C
The latest installation of machinery, for the production, cooking, slicing and
packaging of our products.
Looking for the best cooling transport conditions to deliver the products to the
consumer.
Supermarkets, stores...
The FIT FOOD products are sold in natural & health stores, in supermarkets and to
foodservice companies.

The Waffle Factory concept
An indoor (shopping centre) or outdoor (busy street) sales kiosk, where mouth-watering
sweet waffles (Liège Waffles, Waffines, Wapitis, and Brussels Waffles) and savoury waffles
(LunchWaf), seasoned with herbs from Provence and with a carefully selected and
proportioned range of fillings of the customer’s choice, are made in full view of the public.
Although the shops are small (ranging from 20 to 70 m2), the production process is precise,
owing to the material chosen and in some cases built exclusively for Waffle Factory. The
design of the outlets is a product of Waffle Factory’s development, warm and welcoming like
the products themselves.
Takeaway waffles, easy to eat when on the move and menus for consumption on the
premises (shops with a small table area).
Waffle Factory ® is very much a working environment, completely independent and with a
floor area of at least 20 m². The concept, process and equipment have all been designed
down to the last detail.
The different Waffle Factory ® doughs are prepared in a double-arm mixer reminiscent of
the way bakers worked in times gone by.
The mixes are then carefully divided by hand into portions to make the dough pieces.
These dough pieces are allowed to rise in a fermentation chamber and are then ready to be
filled (in the case of the LunchWaf) and cooked under optimum conditions. The whole
production process takes place in full view of the customers, not only enabling them to
watch an interesting performance, but also demonstrating the freshness of the products and
full compliance with all health and food safety standards.
Waffle Factory exclusive waffles – an impulse purchase, satisfying desire and providing a
treat for the consumer at low cost.

Enzymes are proteins manufactured by living organisms that act as biological catalysts. Most
industrial processes involving standard catalysts only operate efficiently under extreme
physical conditions. The enzyme has the capacity to accelerate natural reactions.
Enzymes can have different sources: bacterial, fungal, animal or vegetal.
These eco-friendly catalysts are very specific in their action and operate in mild conditions.
The uses of natural enzymes are constantly rising to answer food demand and
pharmaceutical needs.

Traditional and family business, the Blaugies brewery was created by Pierre-Alex Carlier and
Marie-Robert Pourtois. The succession has already been ensured by their children: Kevin
Carlier, the brewer and Cédric Carlier, the restaurant owner. The original materials are: a big
saucepan, a burner, a carboy, the advice of several brewers and the professor Devreux
allowed the creation of the recipe of the Moneuse beer. The convencing results, the friends"
craze for the product, lead to the creation of the gyle by the Ateliers MEURA from Tournai.
For four years, the bottling was mainly handmade, the washing, the corking, the wiring and
the labelling of the bottles were handmade. In 1992, the Blaugies brewery invested in an
industrial bottling chain. It"s precisely at that moment, that the owners"children chose their
studies according to their desire to take the succession. Today, the brewery ensures a 5.600
liters production per month. Extension opportunities are also foreseen.

Bonnet's nurseries are a wholesale nursery producing a range of trees from young plants to
semi-mature trees.
We grow a lot of varieties of trees, as Ash, Oak, Beech, Birch, Chestnut, Lime, Hornbeam,
Maple, Sycamore, Walnut etc. They range in size from whips up to 40/45 cm, semi-mature
root-balled trees. We also produce beech hedging, conifers and fruit trees. We are situated
in Lesdain near city of Tournai (15 km).
For over 30 years we have concentrated on producing trees of the highest quality. Modern
methods of production are now employed and modern machinery combined with good
husbandry has resulted in environmentally sound methods of operation.
At Bonnet Nurseries we sell only what we grow and we put a lot of care and attention into
our nursery work. We carry out our own propogation, which is mainly summer budding, and
with regular pruning, caning and good selection, we are able to keep our standards high.
We pay particular attention to correct handling of plants during the lifting season, always
avoiding drying out and exposure to frost.
For over 50 years we have grown many varieties of apples trees, and have selected the most
suitable varieties regarding colour, flavour, ease of growing and suitability

The family Caulier began to be involved in the beer sector in 1933 when Charles Caulier left
his job in the mines to set up as beer retailer in the village Bonsecours.
In the sixties, his two sons, Roger and Christian, who had in the meantime married two
sisters, decided to take over the family business. Their sole purpose in life was to make the
business flourish.
In 1980, they handed over the company to the third generation. Roger Caulier Junior and his
wife Linda had the same sense of entrepreneurship. The warehouses became quickly too
small and they decided to purchase new buildings in Péruwelz.
However, their dream was to create their own brewery …
This dream came true in 1995 when they got the chance to purchase the equipment of the
Deneve brewery in Brussels. Suddenly, the project mushroomed! In 1996, the Bonsecours
and its unique swing-top bottle were launched on the market.
Service, expertise and hard work brought the Family Caulier where they currently are. The
youngest generation has a new ambition: an international future for the brewery!
Products
Brewery Caulier has opted for a traditional production: without filtration or pasteurisation.
The second fermentation in the bottle continues for many months in your cellar and makes
Bonsecours a “Living Beer” (bière vivante). The Cauliers give a lot of importance to the
quality of the raw materials, which is the major guarantee of a top quality beer. Besides the
region’s remarkable water, the company only uses the best candy sugar, malt, hop and
yeast.
Brewery Caulier’s products consist of range of 8 products available in bottle of 33 cl and 75
cl, as well as in bigger ones from 3 to 18 liters!

The story of our company begins in 1984 when Auguste Labiau, mead producer living in
Bonsecours, due to the flight of the "Amer Picon" in the North of France, decides to finalise a
new cocktail similar to the last one.
After coming by a still he tries to distil bitter plants and fruits in order to succeed in a
pleasant cocktail to drink to which he will give his name. The experience reveals itself to be
interesting. The Amer Labiau is pleasing to everyone and sells out very well. It will let four
generations make a living.
In order to create this cocktail, we need more than 30 plants, especially bitter orange’s rinds
imported by herbal medecines from the area of Lessines (Deux-Acren). Once dried, these
plants will be dipped into pure alcohol which will make soluble all the fragrant extracts.
Then this mixture of plants and alcohol will be distilling in order to extract the flavour and
the fragrance of each plant. We get a distillate, extremely concentrated, which will
constitute the foundation for the manufacture of the end product made of alcohol, distilled
water, sugar syrup, and caramel which will give the coloration.
100 % natural without any chemical or aromatic products, the "Amer Labiau" certainly wins
hands down at this period when natural product soars.
The production, managed by the family’s members, grows year by year practically without
advertising but by word of mouth due to tastings organized for groups which want to visit
our.
This web site is an opportunity to let you attract to visit us in order to taste our cocktail.

CROC’IN is a company specialised in pastry shells and active in the world of gastronomy since
20 years.
CROC’IN is proud, since its beginnings, to offer high-quality products answering the needs of
the chefs: an artisanal production based on natural products without dyes, original and
innovative recipes.
We keep seeking to anticipate the tendencies which enable us to be present in the largest
hotels, restaurants, caterers and organizers of receptions throughout the world. We adapt
ourselves to all the markets of the food sector: catering, hotel business, foodservice, retail,
high gastronomy, airlines catering, etc.
Our R&D department constantly strives to develop new original and qualitative products.
CROC’IN commercializes its products in more than 20 countries throughout the 5 continents.
Savoury and sweet pastry shells
We propose to our clients and partners a large umbrella of pastry shells which can be stored
at room temperature. They consist of different pastes and forms.
9 forms are available: canapés, coupelles, coupelles hautes (high), carrés (squares), cannelés,
barquettes, tartelettes, cuillères (spoons) and lingots.
Their honeycomb packaging guarantees an optimal conservation of up to two years and the
risks of deterioration during transport are minimised. The small sizes are mainly used for
aperitifs and cocktails, the large ones act as entry or dessert.
The secret of Croc’In lies in the nature of the pastry shells, light and resistant to humidity
thanks to an unique manufacturing process.
The variety is also present in flavours. The savoury pastry shells are composed of 7 flavours:
Neutral, Rustic, Pesto, Tomato, Beetroot, Shallot and Spinach. The POP range is composed of
6 coloured pastry shells of 100% vegetable origin: Turmeric, Charcoal, Fuchsia, Violet,
Orange and Green.
The sweet pastry shells are composed of three ranges. The shortcrust pastry shell is perfect
for desserts. The cocoa flavour has been specially developed for the chocolate lovers. And
the nougatine range offers an inimitable taste and an irresistible crisp to accompany creams
and sorbets.
Traceability and controls
Each raw material we receive is identified, registered and controlled.
We affix a label with the bar code, batch number, and use-by-date on each packaging to
ensure traceability.
We carefully select raw materials, with a concern for consistent and strictly-controlled
quality. Our methods respond to ISO 22000, HACCP, Kosher, IFS, BRC and FSCC 22000
certifications. The quality of ingredients, combined with our know-how, enables CROC’IN to
propose to chefs exclusive, qualitative and gourmet products.
Packaging
We are very concerned about the life span and the steadiness of our products. We have
therefore developed an exclusive honeycomb packaging, packed in a protective atmosphere.
This conditioning in cell enables us to increase the organoleptic quality of the product up tot
two years. The product is also protected and the risks of deterioration during transport are
minimised.
Moreover, before being packed, the products are sorted to eliminate cracked, broken or
spotted bases.

“Poppies” is passionate about making cookies and pastries, to be enjoyed by everyone.
Poppies’ products are all about sharing, generosity and tradition, and have been ever since
1935. They originate from the spirit of Master Baker Popelier, who laid the foundations of
the bakery in the heart of Flanders Fields, the granary of Belgium. He established a unique
tradition of selecting fine flours from the best cereals, picking the best quality ingredients
and guaranteeing freshness – always, no matter what. And he taught what it takes to make
good bakery products without pretension.
That’s why you can expect honest products from Poppies. Cookies and pastries that taste
great, offer moments of indulgence and respond to your expectations. We may have
outgrown the original, small Popelier bakery, but we haven’t outgrown the Master Baker’s
ideas about artisan quality and customer service.
OUR VALUES
Quality
From cereal to final cookie or pastry, Poppies leaves nothing to chance in guaranteeing its
customers excellent, tasty, reliable and safe products. This care for quality forms the core of
our business. IFS and BRC certification, together with quality controls at all stages of
production, turn that promise into reality.
Customer focus
We’re only happy when our customers are happy too. To achieve that, we go to great
lengths to understand their business needs. In fact, we do everything in our power to offer
them the products that fully satisfy them. This partnership with our customers is vital for our
business – increasingly driven by the demand for private label products.
Respect for tradition
“Poppies” has tremendous respect for the rich tradition of the Flemish artisan bakers. That’s
why Poppies always keeps that tradition in mind, in everything the company does. It leads to
a range of products that, while being made using modern technology and equipment, still
reflects the tradition and spirit of the artisan bakery.
Openess to relevant innovation
“Poppies” offers traditional products, together with new interpretations of traditional ones.
Just like Master Baker Popelier, we’re always on the lookout for ways in which new
technology can help us to improve the quality, taste or composition of our products. And of
course new technology enables us to respond to new trends and changing needs in the
market.
Enthusiasm, pride and passion
The enthusiasm, pride and passion of all Poppies employees throughout the world are what
fuel our growth. They make our company one to be proud of. They make our products ones
that can be enjoyed by everyone. Their efforts and commitment have laid our foundations in
Europe, the US and other parts in the world.
Entrepreneurship
“Poppies” aims to act as a responsible business partner. As such, it proactively investigates
ways of making improvements in quality, economy and efficiency. This is made possible by
our team of devoted employees who share the same spirit of entrepreneurship as the
management and owners of Poppies.
Caring for Quality is an unending job. It expands and improves day by day, year by year. New
concepts in HACCP, GMP and quality management are adopted within the company to keep
up with developing standards. Poppies is therefore proud to have achieved BRC grade A and
IFS higher level certificates that prove we’re serious about Quality.

In 1947, Léon Desobry created his first biscuits in Tournai.
Even then people said that when he was cooking his treasures, the smell of chocolate and
biscuits wafted throughout the whole neighbourhood. Taste, flavor and character built up
the reputation of this Master in the art of making biscuits, and these same principles still
represent the fundamental values of our company today. Desobry quality is universally
recognized in Belgium, the country of biscuits and chocolate. And after conquering Europe, it
expanded overseas to succeed on other continents.
DESOBRY know-how
Desobry biscuits are inspired by traditional Belgian recipes which are constantly up-dated to
fulfill today’s consumers’ needs and tastes.
Crunchy, smooth, melt-in-your-mouth, crispy: each biscuit has its own appealing
personnality.
In line with the real Belgian chocolate heritage, Desobry's recipes include several subtle
cacao based flavours.
DESOBRY innovation
Tradition and innovation work hand-in-hand at Desobry. Indeed, the Belgian Biscuitier is
constantly developping new biscuit recipes. This year, for example, the new born biscuit is
the “Perle Noire", a subtle combination of dark Ghana chocolate mousse on a light and
crispy biscuit.
DESOBRY quality
Desobry keeps improving the nutritional qualities of its biscuit recipes and uses only top
quality ingredients. Desobry’s own chocolate recipes are made exclusively with real cocoa
butter. Desobry’s biscuits contain no artificial flavours, no artificial colours, no preservatives
and no hydrogenated fats.

Dicogel-Begro is the result of the successful consolidation of two family businesses: Dicogel,
which was established by Roger Dick and his family in 1980, and Begro, established by the
Behaegel family in 1984.
A long tradition and years of experience as vegetable growers, and particularly as vegetable
processors, have provided solid foundations for our rapidly-growing company, which has
since become one of the leaders in the European frozen vegetable market.
An enthusiastic, flexible and ambitious team of employees manage the whole production
process for our wide range, from the selection of seeds to packing and distribution.
“Great taste in frozen foods” is our slogan, which doesn’t just mean that we deliver end
products of the highest quality: our ambition is to give as much customer satisfaction as
possible too!
Dicogel
Dicogel, located in Moeskroen, has specialised as a production unit since the move to its
new premises in July 2001. It uses the most recent technologies and identifies itself quite
simply as one of the best-performing sites in the sector. It can process and store a volume of
more than 100 000 tonnes a year. The department also has a mixing unit and a packing unit,
ready to serve our industrial customers.
Begro
Begro, located in Ardooie, has both a production unit with a capacity of 40 000 tonnes and,
notably, a state-of-the-art packing and distribution centre. Since June 2002, we have used
several fully automated packing lines, a storage capacity of 28 000 pallets for finished goods
and six loading bays, linked by an advanced computer system. This enables us not only to
guarantee perfect stock control but also to provide “just-in-time” service to our widespread
customers.
Agriculture
Ensuring quality and traceability is one of the cornerstones of our company and begins with
selecting the best varieties and the appropriate fields. Our agricultural scientists survey the
fields and provide professional advice to growers. They guarantee continuous support from
planting or sowing to harvesting and delivering a high-quality product to our processing
sites.
From fresh to frozen
Our main aim is to preserve nutrients in harvested vegetables as efficiently as possible. This
is feasible only if the time between harvesting and freezing is kept ultra-short. Our
automatic production process and integrated quality controls enable us to preserve all the
farm-freshness of the vegetables we supply.
After washing and/or peeling the vegetables, we remove foreign matter with a combination
of sieves, fans, sorting machines, and other lasers or camera sorters. Next we blanch the
vegetables to regulate their microbiology whilst preserving their natural colour and
taste. Finally, the vegetables are cooled and frozen individually or in small portions, which
help to maintain their texture. In this way, we ensure a permanent stock and we are able to
provide our customers with the highest quality all year round, no matter what the season.
Packaging, (mixing), storage and logistics
Begro in Ardooie and Dicogel in Moeskroen each have their own packing department, which
is adapted to their target group. Dicogel concentrates on bulk and food service packaging
whereas Begro focuses more on retail and foodservice. Our fully automated packing lines are
equipped with the most advanced laser and metal detector technologies in order to identify
and remove foreign objects.
A semi-automatic coldstore with a capacity of 30.000 pallet spaces enables Begro-Dicogel to
serve its customers easily on a first in, first out basis. A careful scanning system allows us to
guarantee full traceability of each and every product.

Email: info@br-dubuisson.com - Web: www.br-dubuisson.com
Contact person: Mr Hugues DUBUISSON
The Brasserie Dubuisson has deep roots and values that give it an authenticity that few
breweries can boast… and that make it the oldest and most authentic brewery in Wallonia.
Created in 1769 by Joseph Leroy, the maternal grandfather of current manager Hugues
Dubuisson, the Brasserie Dubuisson is the oldest brewery in Wallonia and is still situated on
the same spot. Eight generations of brewers have succeeded each other in a direct line and
the Brasserie Dubuisson is today still 100% independent.
In 1933, Alfred Dubuisson, Hugues’ grandfather, created a genuine fine Belgian beer in the
English style, very fashionable at the time. He called his beer Bush Beer, the English
translation of Bière Dubuisson. This beer, the recipe of which has remained unchanged for
75 years, is therefore one of Belgium’s oldest brands of beer still being sold.
From the very beginning, right up to the present day, the Brasserie Dubuisson has always
remained true to its unchanging principles and values:
- 100% independent brewery.
- Production of completely natural beers, without any artificial additives.
- Refusal to produce private label beers (a single recipe sold under different trademarks).
- Total control over the brewing process without resorting to subcontracting
A brewery resolutely turned towards the future
In 1990, Hugues Dubuisson began a new era of growth for the brewery with the gradual
expansion of the range (Bush de Noël in 1991, Bush Blonde in 1998, Cuvée des Trolls in
2000). The growth of the brewery has been speeding up since 2000 with the creation of two
micro-breweries in Louvain-la-Neuve and Mons, a new visitors’ centre and the nearly
complete renovation of the production facilities that is still going on until 2008 with the full
renovation of the brewing room, the putting into service of a new bottling line and the
extension of the capacity of the storage cellar.
In addition to the industrial investments made on the Pipaix site, the Brasserie Dubuisson
has also grown considerably in commercial terms since the end of the 20 th century. Its
production has gone from 14,000 hectolitres in 2000 to 22,000 hectolitres in 2007. Exports
are also growing in size in these volumes and in 2008 represent nearly 25% of the brewery’s
total volumes. The Brasserie Dubuisson exports to around twenty countries, both near, such
as France, Italy and Switzerland, and far, such as the United States, Australia, Vietnam and
Chile
The Brasserie Dubuisson currently brews and sells the following beers:

The brewery is an independant business, runned by the family Dupont, specialised in the
production of beers with refermentation in the bottle: Moinette, Saison, Bons Vœux…
Since 1990, we have been brewing a part of the production under organic license with the
Biogarantie® label: Moinette bio, Saison bio, Biolégère, Blanche du Hainaut, Bière de Miel
biologique…
We still do brew the traditional way and our yearly production depasses 15.000 hectolitres.
You can find our beers going in export to different countries: USA, Japan, Canada, France,
Italy, The Netherlands, Danmark, UK…
Highly quoted specialist and recensents (M. Jackson, T. Webb, C. Deglas, J; Vandesteen…)
describe our beers as very typical and traditional and are stipulating our stubborness when
talking about bitterness… Our products are very popular in the States where we, on a regular
base, are awarded with prices. In 1997, during the World Beer Championship in Chicago, we
were nominated as one of the ten best breweries in the world.
As a matter of fact, in 2005, our Saison Dupont was elected as “The Best Beer in the World”
by the American “Men’s Journal”!
Our traditional beers
For many decades, the brewery Dupont has been specialised in the production of top
fermentation beers with refermentation in the bottle.
While bottling we add active yeast to create a refermentation in the closed bottle. This yeast
will multiply and transform the rest of the sugar in the beer, into alcohol and carbon dioxide.
Proofs of a good refermentation are the remnants of the yeast (tiny flocks) in the beer.
For more than two months the bottles will be staying in our heated refermentation-rooms
(23°C), so we become a steady and beautiful froth.
For many months, even years, this refermentation in the bottle will continue in your cellar
(preferable 12°-14° C). The taste of the beer will transform to a complex and harmonious
product.
Organic beers
Although all our beers are brewed in a traditional and natural way, in 1990, we have chosen
to go even further. Since then we are brewing a range of organic beers, following all the
rules of the organic products, meaning:


Exclusively only raw materials with controlled organic label. With each and every
commercial transaction we will add the official certificate of an organic product, to
make a control very easy.
We don’t add any chemical substance, nor during conservation, nor during
production.
The instructions, to be found in CEE 834/2007 and 889/2008, describe the production of
organic products (agriculture + foods).
CERTISYS, an official control-organism, watches over our production of organic beers.
Therefore we are allowed to put the label BIOGARANTIE® on all our organic beers.
Our traditional and natural way of brewing, refermentation in the bottle without
adding conservation products, was already way up to the demands of organic products.

Long time ago there were 6 breweries in Ecaussinnes. At that time there were about 3500
breweries in Belgium. Actually we have around 127 left. One of them, the "Brasserie des
Carrières" started making beer in 1897. They made the Ultra beer until 1970. In this year
they transferred the production to another brewery. In this "Brasserie du Progrès" the water
they used was completely different. As beer contains 90% of water the quality is very
important. In 1972 production of the "Ultra" was stopped. In 1999, Hugues and Isabel Van
Poucke decided to install a brewery in a nice restored farm-castle. Important families and
even "La Comédie Française" once owned this large farm.
Most of the equipment used in the new brewery was found in Czechie. In April 2000 the first
beer was served in the beautiful tavern above the brewery.
During the summer of 2001 the Ultramour beer was made. This fruity beer consists of 4
different fruit tastes. The origine of the name comes from the famous festivity "Le Goûter
Matrimonial" which exists for 100 years already. During this festivity singles are coupled.
In 2006 a complete new brewery installation is built and there is a pub and there are 5
seminary rooms
They make many different kind of beers f.ex. : Cookie beer (beer with sthe famous Belgian
speculoos), florilège d’hibiscus, florilège de pensée, florilège de rose, beer with maple
syrup… but they brew also for other breweries.
Every year during the Christmas period a typical Christmas beer is brewed.
For Valentine special glasses and 75 cl bottles are filled with Ultramour.
The brewery is based on export. You can find the beer in Japan, France, Denmark, Sweden,
USA, Netherlands, Great-Brittain and Italy, Hongary, China, Russian Federation, Spain.

Trough application of oenological and spiritual science in a deep consciousness, the FRUIT OF
LIVE is born. The alchemic fruit wines vinifierd according to and with respect to natural
forces.
Strict quality control is accompanied by high respect to each fruit and each bottle that leaves
the winery. The work performed in harmony between Earth and Sky. The real holistic
approach* is one of key characteristics of our fruit wines.
*Holisme: doctrine or point of view that consists of considering the phenomena’s in its
globalism.
The head of production, Ludovic Boucart – professional oenologist, recognized in the world
of wine production for his unique capabilities and knowledge that, applied to wine
production, creates of each bottle a unique chef-d’oeuvre. Possessing 12 year experience of
creation of high quality fruit wines nowadays he is the biggest specialist in this area. Ludovic
Boucart performs also holistic oenology (www.6eme-sens.be), works as geo-biologist and

Ludovic Boucart is recognized and his consulting services are used by such emblematic
domains as Romanee Conti.
After two years of travelling and meditation Ludovic Boucart has created new game of his
wines and named it FRUIT DE VIE.
Our Collection of Haute-Couture Fruit Wines
Following the same principal ourfruit wines are resultl of natural process.Creation of the
wine whether it is grape or fruit wine, is not limited to chemical and bio-chemical
transformation of the fruits, but it’s also alchemy, magic of life... Creation of the new game is
a really magic trip that we are inviting you for. Each cuvee is the result of vinification and
assemblage, performed on the highest level in order to preserve the unique character of
each wine, each barrel, and each fruit. Only small number of bottles leaves the cellar. The
maximum production for each cuvee varies from 200 to 1200 bottles.
Each cuvee is embattled and created according to the particular dates with respect to lunar
calendar (with application of bio-dynamic principals). The subtle marriage of science and
conscience give birth to simple and elegant creations. The holistic approach, thorough work
using the modern oenology and spirituality are the key points of our work.
Our last creations
CERNUNNOS named after the celtic God of fertility. It is a strong cherry wine that was
embattled during the cherry blossom period. It expresses subtle alchemy between fruit and
a flower. Vinified with great respect, CERNUNNOS is a unique combination of different
characters, sometimes contradicted, that finds a harmony and brings you back to wisdom
and roots.
SOLARIS got his name not because of authentic character and reach aromas that enrobe you
and bring you back to the childhood when your grandmother was making the comfiture of
golden quince fruits. This wine surprises by its perfect balance that takes your breath away
once you have tried it... Result of the assemblage of various millesimes (from 2003 to 2010)
vinified with respect to the fruit, using long fermentation and vinification periods, this wine
stays in harmony with its origins, leaving space to long and aromatic taste palette. Sun in the
bottle.
VACUITE That in ZEN hylosophy signifies meditative state, gave the name to this semi-dry
rhubarb wine, created using oxidation method and posessing rare tasting characteristics.
This wine was created in deep consciousness. Simple vinification, maybe not habitual
because the wine is the result of assemblage of the cuve and the barrel which gives it unique
balance between straight masculine characteristics brought by the wood and subtle
feminine aromatic body – fruit of vinification in the cuve. The wine for the pleasure, and it
was a pleasure to create it.
LA GRACE Is the reancarnation of feminity in the bottle. Sweet strawberry wine makes you
think of an elegant beautiful lady, strong but feminine, whose charme doesnt leave anyone
indifferent. Like the woman of the word this wine perfectly fits into any circumstances, any
place, and any country. During creation of this wine we have changed the position of the
cuve in the cellar in order to encourage its energetic field gives it most amplitude and
wisdom. Whether you are the man or the woman, this wine won’t let you indifferent….
L’EFFERVESCENCE DE ROISIN
Because in Roisin the cellar is sparkling with energy and new ideas. That is the story how our
sparkling wine got its name. This wine is really special first of all because it’s vinified using
rhubarb, and secondly because every bottle (and you will feel it) contains an infinite fountain
of energy, ready to explode and enrich you. This all is result of thorough work with cosmic
and natural energies along all the process of creation (that lasted 60 months)

Belgium enjoys a worldwide reputation as a nation of gourmets, mainly because of its many
top-class restaurants and renowned chefs. Our small country is an international crossroads
of the culinary arts. This is not only the basis for a wide range of food formulations; it is also
the foundation of Belgian know-how in food processing technology. Only with state-of-theart equipment will food manufacturers succeed in bringing top-quality products onto a
highly competitive market. Gernal has been a pioneer in the production of many innovative
and highly successful Belgian delicacies for more than half a century. In close co-operation
with the food industry, Gernal was able to develop a large number of both standard and
customised solutions for the preparation of meat, poultry, fish, vegetables and ready meals.
More than 2,500 producers use machines made by Gernal. Thanks to the quality of its
systems and precision manufacturing, Gernal has even built up a strong reputation abroad.
Approximately 65% of all Gernal machines are delivered to customers in France, Germany,
the Netherlands and England. Based on the international experience of the new
management, we plan to further expand exports through an increase in our product offer
and the expansion of our distribution network
Using Gernal drying, smoking, cooking and roasting units is opting for top quality of the 21 st
century. These units are multifunctional and meet the most stringent standards and
requirements. Gernal developed its first drying, cooking, smoking and roasting unit in 1973.
Since that time, this machine has been continuously optimised.

The Gernal line of drying, cooking, smoking and roasting units includes 12 different types,
with a volume ranging from 2,000 to 25,000 litres. If required, Gernal can also develop
systems with a larger capacity or to your specific design requirements.
Three types of smoke generators:



Sawdust: the sawdust is ignited with an electric element. A turbine blows air into the
combustion chamber, after which the mixture of generated smoke and air travels
through smoke channels into the smoking unit.
Friction smoke: pneumatic cylinders push a wooden beam onto a rotating grater,
generating a cold smoke with low tar content. This generator is most convenient for
smoking in a closed circuit without emitting smoke.
Liquid smoke: a natural wood smoke condensate, which is free of tar substances, is
vaporised by pulses through sprinklers in the smoking unit.

Those who look beyond the exterior of a machine know that excellent quality, durability and
service can only be offered by a partner who has the entire production process in his own
hands.
At its site in Komen, Gernal disposes over its own 6,000 m² production hall. All of the steps in
the production of our machines are carried out by our own professional technicians. Only
milling and turning of large series are outsourced.
Gernal’s conscious choice for in-house production offers many advantages:

Trading wine bottled at the property has long been our specialty, but we have always
wanted to go further. What we really wanted to do was to produce special liqueurs and
aperitifs. But we did not want to get down to business before holding all the cards.
We finally found these cards in 1977 when we bought the old ‘Dendal’ liquor-factory in La
Louvière, Belgium. These cards turned out to be old collections of recipes dating back to
1903 and 1927. We immediately understood that we had discovered a real treasure.
Since then, we have specialized in manufacturing old style aperitifs and liqueurs according to
two basic principles: we only use the best products and we always respect the tradition. Of
course, we had to harmonize some preparations in order to match the actual consumer
tastes. But, in general, we are proud to say that we have reproduced the best things in the
best traditional way.
Our Philosophy
Gervin is a family business listening to the customers’ demands and expectations.
One of our main concerns is to maintain the continuity of our products, to make sure that
our customers still taste our know-how after more than 30 years
Gervin’s goal is to become an important actor in distillation in the coming years without
loosing its family spirit and its traditional methods.
For a better understanding of our work, we began to elaborate a new distillery and a new
orchard two years ago. Indeed, it is best for a distiller to use its own fruits. Our new distillery
will be open to the public soon. Our customers will be able to discover our work process and
the Gervin products in details

For over 25 years, Gourmand has been the specialist in deep frozen puff pastry products.
Traditional bakers as well as retailers, hotels and caterers and food service customers choose
us for a wide range of products: from traditional croissants to specialities with sweet or
savoury fillings, cakes and bread products.
Tradition is very important to us, but at the same time we are constantly on the lookout for
new trends and tastes, thanks to a good knowledge of the market.
There is one constant in all this: we strive towards the highest quality. This is why we employ
the stringent HACCP and BRC standards. This means you can always be sure of the quality of
our products.
After years of research and development we have reconciled the best of both worlds: the
traditional baker's working methods with a fully automated dough preparation process. With
great results. Because Gourmand products have the taste of a traditional product, and are
produced with modern techniques which ensure the regular production of top quality baked
goods that look great.
This know-how doesn't stop at our factory gates. Our baking technologists are ready to
advise you on how to develop the best new products and guarantee the best quality in the
final product for your own business.
Production
CROISSANTS
A classic among the bake-off products. Gourmand produces its butter croissants according to
the authentic French method. This is the only way to obtain the perfect croissant: a rich
buttery taste, great volume, light and crunchy at the same time. And why not try our new
stuffed sweet croissants sprinkled with ground coffee or grains?
VIENNOISERIE
Here you'll find the traditional puff pastry products such as pain au chocolat, pain au raisin
and other sweet specialities.
SWEET SPECIALITIES
Time for a snack? We recommend trying our delicious apple triangles. You'll be sure to love
them!
DANISH PASTRY
Danish pastry, an authentic Danish speciality enjoyed by many. The 24 layers of dough
coated with margarine on oth sides ensures a light, crispy product that melts in the mouth.
Together with the rich fillings this makes for a real taste sensation!
SAVOURY SPECIALITIES
Delightful snacks that are simple and quick to prepare and moreover, easy to eat on the go
Since its re-establishment in 2006, Gourmand has offered a new range of products,
operating at the top end of the market when it comes to taste, crispiness, volume and
consistency.
As every baker knows, the secret of a crispy croissant with a rich taste, a clean bite and long
freshness lies in the dough's ripening. Moisture-filled sponge dough ripens for several hours
and is ideal for creating a rich aroma. This sponge dough is not kneaded, preserving the
consistency of the dough.
Our unique method enables us to prepare sponge dough on an industrial scale.
A second fundamental change was the commissioning of ultramodern and fully automated
production lines, enabling us to produce more consistent products at a high output and with
minimum waste.
Automated optical quality control systems continually optimise the production process,
ensuring that all our products meet stringent quality standards.
Gourmand has succeeded in producing what the customer wants: delicious and consistent
viennoiseries at competitive prices!
Quality and food safety
In a market characterised by globalisation, consolidation, vertical integration and everincreasing customer demands, Gourmand is locked in a daily clamour to retain its existing
customers and target and acquire new customers from competitors.
To win this battle, Gourmand sticks to its ambitious yet effective battle plan:
- Claiming the top position when it comes to product and service quality, in accordance with
the customers’ demands.
- Striving for continuous innovation and setting new standards with regard to products,
business processes and procedures.
Quality – everybody’s business, at all times
Gourmand is passionate about quality combined with speed and flexibility. These values are
the cornerstones of our business.
When it comes to raw materials, Gourmand does not compromise: we buy only the highestquality raw materials from suppliers who meet our stringent food safety standards.
Sampling is done throughout the production process, ensuring that product quality is
checked in all phases, from the grain of corn to the end-product delivered to the customer.
Thanks to our continual investment in the highest quality, Gourmand and its customers are
able to offer the consumers the best product.
Quality has a label
All the stringent standards and procedures are established in a continually evolving quality
control system, certified for BRC at Grade A by AIB Vinçotte/ISA Belgium (International
Supplier Auditing). This standard sets out the requirements which a company’s quality
control system must meet to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction, by
eliminating deviations at all stages of the production process, from design up to follow-up.
Gourmand’s production process also complies with the HACCP standards (Hazard Analysis
Critical Control Points). The system, which enables production to prevent, control and assess
possible anomalies, guarantees the high quality of the product being brought onto the
market.
Gourmand has the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) label for its by-products, providing
our by-product customers with sufficient guarantees of the quality of the supplied products.
These certificates testify of the premium quality offered by Gourmand. Our quality
assurance department checks the unconditional observance of these stringent production
standards on a daily basis.
Constant quality improvement, traceability and food safety are key principles in Gourmand’s
quality policy.

The cheese selection
The discovery of high quality cheese is the base of the work of a “refiner”.
Jacquy Cange goes through Belgium, France and other countries, to find the small farm, the
good producer who can bring a new taste to its assortment. Jacquy often compares its
cheese-board with “painter’s pallet” where every taste must be present in different and
additional nuances, with a touch of personal innovation.
The cellar maturation
In four cellars, the Refiner lets rest its various cheeses which need humidity, ventilation and
a temperature adapted to the evolution of their dough. Rinds are carefully brushed, washed
with delicacy. A thoughtful glance allows the slow and sweet evolution of these treasures…
Next to his traditional work, Jacquy Cange specialized in the taste harmony of cheeses with
solid and liquid ingredients to be able to realize creative refining, unseen taste harmony for
an exceptional delight… in the wine, in the beer, in spices, in the truffles and some other
exclusive specialities…

The "Brasserie Ellezelloise" is a young company created on the first of January 1993. The first
beer was brewed in the month of July of that year.
The small farm where the brewery is established was purchased in 1985 and the preparation
of the buildings and acquisition of second hand equipment took 8 years.
The success of this project is the result of the passion of Philippe Gerard, the Master Brewer
which has been forged over 25 years of experience in beer making in several breweries, and
the advice of his father, himself a brewery engineer. Philippe Gerard named his beer
"Quintine", after a witch of Ellezelles, in keeping with its rich folklore.
Traditional brewing techniques have been preserved. The mash tank, the grist filter tank
and the flame heated hop kettle are in copper. The wooden crates contain 12 or 24 swing
top bottles with porcelain stoppers. The brewing method is by infusion, which is the oldest
technique. Only basic materials are used: water, barley malt, bitter and aromatic hops, pure
yeast base and dextrose. No other ingredients enter into the beer's composition.
Quintine, is a top fermented blond beer, not centrifuged, filtered or pasteurised. It has an
alcohol density of 8%.
The product range of the Brasserie Ellezelloise is completed by "Quintine Ambrée" at 8,5%
made with caramel malt and "Hercule" a stout at 9%, based on roasted malt.



Tasting room (+/- 70 people)
Terrace (+/-120 people)
Guided tour; further information at the brewery
Opening hours:


From Monday till Saterday from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m.
On Sundays from 9 a.m. till 12.00, from 3 p.m. till 7 p.m.
Ellezelloise produces five regular beers, a blond and an amber ale, and a hardy Belgian stout.
All of them are made in small batches and are lagered for ten days in German oak casks.
They are strong, full-bodied, and very satisfying. The Quintine Amber and Blond are named
for a witch of local legend. And Agatha Christie’s Detective Hercule Poirrot (probably
Belgium’s best-known citizen and a native son of Ellezelles) is the namesake for the
“Hercule” Stout. It is the only distinctively Belgian stout, and every bit as sturdy and dapper
as its namesake.
The Brasserie Ellezelloise (pronounced “EL-ZEL-WOZ”), is located in the town of Ellezelles in
the gentle “hill country” of Belgium. Founded in 1993, the tiny brewery manages to produce
1000 hectoliters per year - the most of any brewery of the Belgian Artisanal Brewers Guild.
Housed in a picturesque converted barn in French-speaking Belgium, the brewery includes a
cozy café to which the local folk and connoisseurs from Brussels love to repair on weekend
afternoons. There you can enjoy a wonderful Ellezelloise brew, served by the brewer.

Vidrala continually endeavours to integrate new technological enhancements that we create
within our own R&D (+I) department or that are introduced to the world market by the glass
packing industry. We rely on raw material and finished product laboratories: surface
treatment, dimensional and capacity controls, pressure resistance, thermal shock together
with many other kinds of controls and testing. At all productions stages, we apply an
automatic IT monitoring process, without human intervention, which make possible various
reporting configurations. Today, process simulation is getting more and more relevant. We
have developed various tools that enable us to anticipate production results in relation to
variation applied TO furnace design, moulding processes, etc… Vidrala relies on and applies
these tools to constantly improve processes and the final quality of our glass containers.
We are over 1700 people involved in the Vidrala project.
Distributed over 5 countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Belgium) we have a
longstanding consolidated presence in the world of glass recipient manufacture. This is
already a long history, however, it continues to renew and rejuvenate daily. In fact, this is
one of our strong points with a view to the future; i.e. a magnificent balance between the
experience of the oldest and enthusiasm of the newest.
For this reason, Vidrala Group is a workplace of prestige, likewise an option for professional
development and growth for many people in many parts of Europe. This allows us to have
very high loyalty ratios with very low rotation in all our work centres.
Mission
Within the packing industry, Vidrala aims at facilitating its customers’ developments by
fulfilling their expectations and by building future on sustainable values for the shareholders,
personnel, collaborating companies and generally speaking for society.
Vision
Be a reference company within the packing industry that creates future and anticipates
changes relying on a human team and on our innovation capacity.

OXYLENT S.A. belongs to the STIERNON S.A. Group.
We are partner of Wagralim pole (Marshall Plan) and we are involved in many R&D projects
in collaboration with others companies and universities: after having completed the research
phase of WalNut-20 and POLYGAL, we have started new projects as VALAXSON, POLYOIL and
CAPPLE. In few words, the aim of these projects is to valorize the polyphenolic potential of
some plant extracts in food or health applications in combination with other ingredients
(cereals fibers, calcium lactate, linseed oil or calcium lactate).
OXYLENT S.A. is also specialized in conception, production and sales of innovative food
ingredients and dietary supplements based on our OXYLENT® polyphenolic plant extracts.
-
OXYLENT GR is a specific and pure pomegranate powder extract naturally rich
in polyphenols. Its combination in ellagic acid and punicalagins is unique and
responsible for healthy effects (demonstration of antioxidant and antiinflammatory benefits proven by scientific evidences). OXYLENT GR is also
currently used to act on muscle, digestive, joint or detoxification health. This
high-added value ingredient is water soluble and can be easily formulated in
beverages.
-
OXYLENT FT, FU are oak powder tannins extracted from selected French oak
trees. They are typically used in oenological applications to mimick the ageing
in barrels. Our extraction process is patented and the aromatic profile is
performed thanks to using of a specific enzymatic complex which accelerates
hydrolysis of the tannins and the heterosidic coumarines, lowering the
astringency and the bitterness. Regulatory aspects are consistent with the
International Oenological Codex.
Our polyphenolic extracts are also dedicated to the cosmetic and food industries (chocolate,
juice, cereal bars…).
Our laboratory has high-tech equipments: FT-IR, Uv-Vis spectroscopy, HPLC, GC-MS, ICP.

The Plukon Food Group has thirteen locations throughout the Netherlands, Germany and
Belgium, including nine slaughterhouses and four processing and packaging companies. With
a total slaughter capacity of more than 6.8 million chickens per week, Plukon is one of the
largest players on the poultry meat market in Europe. We also develop, manufacture and
market ultra-fresh and pasteurised meal concepts. Plukon’s sales markets are primarily the
Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France but also include the UK, Ireland, North-West
Europe and Eastern Europe. Every production location within the Plukon Food Group is
managed as an independent company specialised in its own unique productmarket
combination. Parallel to this, a constant exchange of products, knowledge and experience
takes place between the various locations, enabling broad expertise to be developed in a
great many focus areas. The size of the group and cooperation between the locations allows
the Plukon Food Group to operate very flexibly, making it possible for us to serve our
customers optimally.
Vision
As a producer of poultry meat and meals, the Plukon Food Group operates in a society that
calls for an even balance in attention to people, animals, the environment and profitability.
That is why the Plukon Food Group invests fully in its employees, the development of new
and existing livestock farming systems such as organic and free range, product development,
food safety, process improvement and market analysis.
Brands
The Plukon Food Group operates various consumer brands. Friki, Stolle, Pingo, Maïski and
Flandrex are the Group’s best-known brands; they have a highquality image and come in for
much consumer confidence. Plukon is licensed by Weight Watchers to manufacture and
market a large number of well-balanced meals. In the Netherlands, Volwaard is the brand
that is known for its sustainably and animal welfare-friendly produced poultry. For the
German retail market the products are marketed under the Fairmast brand. In addition,
many of our products are sold under the private labels of supermarket organisations in the
Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France.
Chain
Our poultry farmers are the foundation of our production chain. In cooperation with De
KuikenaeR, the chain director of the Plukon Food Group, the product quality, availability,
traceability and logistics of the living poultry is organised. This uniformly guarantees the
quality of our raw material for and across all the poultry slaughterhouses.
Innovation
Innovation is an important strategic pillar for the Plukon Food Group. Convenient and
healthy choices for consumers are the priority here. But innovation in other areas like animal
welfare, animal health, new preparation methods and pioneering packaging concepts is also
given free rein. Alongside this we are continually working to improve our existing poultry
meat products and meal concepts by constantly anticipating the changing demand from
consumers. We feel that we bear some responsibility for the consumers’ eating patterns and
want our products to contribute to a healthy and varied menu. The packaging of our
products reports information on the ingredients used, nutritional values and allergens.

Introduction
Roger & Roger, a company owned by the Dick family from West Flanders, is a rapidly
growing producer of potato snacks. It distributes and exports crisps for the private label
market to twenty countries from its base in Moeskroen. Roger & Roger began in 1999 and
now has more than 250 employees.
Philosophy
An enthusiastic, flexible and ambitious team of employees manages the complete
production chain of our extensive range, from selecting the potatoes to packaging and
distribution.
Working under the motto "A FAMOUS NAME IN SNACKS" we work hard every day to be
dedicated and preferred suppliers of top quality crisps. We don't just supply a product: we
also work hard to build productive, long-term relationships with our private label clients. It is
crucial that we understand the specific needs of our clients and make proposals to optimise
our working partnership.
Location
250 enthusiastic employees in a factory that operates non-stop five days a week means that
we gain 2000 hours experience every day. This approach is paying off. To develop experience
and growth even further, we are investing in building extra production space. There will be
more news about the work in and around our production site shortly.
Production
Ensuring quality and traceability is one of the corner stones of our company. The process
starts with selecting the variety of potatoes and fields where they will grow. We use varieties
that have been developed especially for crisps. Our potatoes come from Belgium, the
Netherlands, Germany and France. We inspect the fields ourselves and give professional
advice to our growers, who guarantee continuity from planting to harvesting and delivering
a high quality product.
Once the potatoes are delivered to us, we check them once more for quality. If they pass this
test, we wash them and remove their foliage. They are then peeled, cut, fried and seasoned
until we finally arrive at our end product: Roger & Roger crisps that are crispy, crunchy, and
delicious.
Packaging
All packaging is developed in close collaboration with our private-label clients. Our years of
experience with developing the right packaging for a particular type of crisps often provide
an important added benefit for our clients.
It is this experience that has taught us to work efficiently together with the professional
graphic designers who design innovative packaging for our clients that perfectly reflects the
product's image and strategic positioning.

ScaldoPack is a purpose-established company that develops and commercializes new types
of self-heating and self-cooling packaging.
ScaldoPack is the innovative endeavour of a chemical distributor, Werner Saelens, and a
packaging specialist, Henno Hensen
At ScaldoPack, our in-house chemical processing lab allows for the complete manufacture of
our product, from base chemicals to finished product.
Quality Control
ScaldoPack has been developed according to industry norms, and our in-house testing
equipment ensures quality control throughout the processing of the product. Quality
assurance is guaranteed also by strict adherence to our final product standard.
R&D
All ScaldoPack products are developed in our own in-house laboratory. Having our own
laboratory enables us to further develop products according to any customer requirements.
Heating and cooling material
ScaldoPack uses active lime as the main component to self-heat a package. Active lime has
the advantage of not being toxic and bio-absorbed, which means that the rest product as it
is can be absorbed directly by nature. Lime is often used as a soil improver.
The cooling reaction used by ScaldoPack to cool down its packages is based on salts. The
salts used for cooling are high nitrogen holding salts which are perfectly biodegradable.
These salts are harmless for people should they be swallowed accidentally. However, they
should not be swallowed intentionally.
Technology
ScaldoPack offers a new, innovative packaging solution, whereby liquids are packaged in a
flexible, self-standing pouch capable of self-heating or self-cooling.
This packaging type offers a wide range of opportunities while creating a new customer
experience.

Last century saw large farms in Hainaut brewing barley and hops.
Silly is a village lying in the Ath, Enghien and Soignies triangle and is crossed by the Sylle, the
river from which the village takes its name. Silly possesses a brewery that was founded in
1850 as Cense de la Tour, and that is today operated by the 5th generation.
From 1947 the Brewery became more prominent than the farm yet was still only producing
top fermentation beer like Grisette, Saison and Scotch.
Several years later in 1950 when the Brewery already had a chain of bars, it began producing
a bottom fermentation beer Pils as part of its product range.
1975 is noted for the purchase of the Tennstedt Decroes Brewery in Enghien which meant
that it could add Double Enghien to its range, today available in two forms: brown ale and
lager.
1990 saw the creation of a white beer known as Blanche Titje. This beer together with Saison
de Silly, Double Enghien and Divine, have contributed to the growth of this independent and
traditionally based family business.
But it doesn't stop there! Research efforts have helped in producing the latest family beer, a
pink grapefruit flavoured white beer: Pink Killer, with a bright promising future.
Over recent years the Brewery has been enhancing its export business.

Corrugated packaging
Corrugated board is the most preferred form of packaging in the world. It can be folded and
adapted according to your wishes. It also has the ability to wrap-up all your ideas! From food
to electric cables, from flowers to garden furniture or toys, from wines and spirits to hifi
equipment, corrugated board packaging can be bent to your will!
Corrugated board is also converted into boxes to better protect your goods or into a display
and communication tool to promote your products. It can be used to pack an individual item
or group of products, making handling, storage and transport of your products easier.
Corrugated packaging can be adapted to any needs. It doesn’t just come in standardised
formats. In fact, you can completely individualise the corrugated packaging for your products
– exactly made-to-measure your requirements. Moreover, once used, it is readily recyclable.
All corrugated board packaging begins its life at a corrugator. This machine produces
corrugated board sheets. These sheets are cut to the specified size and then converted into
regular slotted cases, die-cut cases or other more specialised packaging.
Manufacturing
We could define corrugated board as a paper sandwich in which each layer plays a particular
part.
The liners form the inside and outside of the sandwich. They give the packaging resistance
against such hazards as chemical attacks, breaks, bursts, etc. Moreover, the outer liner is
used to communicate whatever message you like, thanks to its perfect printability.
The flute determines the thickness of the corrugated board and allows the box to resist
vertical compression and puncture.
Therefore there are several types of flutes, the most common of which are B, C and E.
To get a more resistant packaging SK Cartomills also produces flute combinations such as EB,
BE, BC and EE.
Various papers are used in the corrugated board industry. This is why we utilise paper based
on virgin fibres, called kraftliners, and paper based on recycled fibres, called testliners.
The substances of these papers go from 90 gr/m2 to 400 gr/m2.
The quality of boxes depends directly on the quality of the raw material and their
combination.
SK Cartomills will always propose the best choice out of all packaging options, according to
the specific characteristics of your products and the way they are stored and transported.

revolutionary. These products, used in baking and pastry making, provide solutions above all
in the following cases:



Bad smell due to the high evaporation of traditional lubricants,
Unsuitable greasing (in quantity or frequency),
Chain noises when starting up the oven again.
In addition, SOGELUB® has developed a special dry lubricant for joints in the presence of
flour dust: the R 604 T. This product penetrates into the heart of joints even in the presence
of a high level of dust; cleans and lubricates. Furthermore, PTFE has been added to facilitate
cold start-up and provide lubrication in the most extreme conditions.
Finally, we also offer a complete range of lubricants tailored to the specific requirements of
the agrifood and food industries:

Since 1873, the Friart family has been brewing various beers, among others, the St-Feuillien.
But the history of this beer goes back even further.
In the 7th century, an Irish monk by the name of Feuillien came to the Continent to preach
the Gospel. Unfortunately, in 655, while travelling through the charcoal forest, across the
territory of what is now the town of Le Roeulx, Feuillien was martyred and beheaded. On the
site of his martyrdom, Feuillien’s disciples erected a chapel which, in 1125 became the
Abbey of Prémontrés, but later became known as the Abbaye St-Feuillien du Roeulx.
The Abbey prospered until the upheavals of the French Revolution. During these troubled
times, it was condemned by the revolutionaries. For centuries, monks have brewed beer and
this tradition has been preserved until this very day. Fourth generation of brewers for the
Friart family but still the same passion and know-how

Traditional abbey beer
Once a real connoisseur has tasted St-Feuillien he knows right away that it will always be his
favourite.
St-Feuillien is a top-fermenting beer brewed with extremely pure water. The spring is
located under the brewery itself. Only the very best malts and hops are used: for St-Feuillien
Blonde and Triple, we use pale malt, and for St-Feuillien Brune Réserve and Cuvée de Noël, a
combination of specially selected malts is used.
Secrets of alchemy…
The malt resulting from the fermentation of the barley is crushed and mixed with water. This
is the infusion-brewing method during which the sugars in the malt are extracted. The
syrupy juice which is obtained is called the wort. Once filtered, it is brought to boiling point
in a boiler. It is during this boiling process that we add to the wort top-quality hops (brewers’
gold) which give the product its characteristic aroma and bitter flavour. The wort is then
cooled to a temperature of above 20°C and sprinkled with yeast (principle of top
fermentation). It is at this point that the fermentation process begins: the yeast slowly rises
to the surface, and the sugar is converted into alcohol. The wort is then finally transformed
into beer.
The beer is stored for 6 weeks in a cooling chamber (0°C) to ensure good decantation of the
beer and a refined taste. The St-Feuillien beer is then bottled (drawing) and is naturally aged
for three weeks in a warm chamber (25°C) to encourage secondary fermentation and
saturation in the bottle.
The beer then acquires its sparkle. It is only then that you can savour to the full the taste of
malt and the character of the hops, and truly appreciate the know-how of a master brewer.
Sampling: a time-honoured ritual
St-Feuillien is the Abbey beer par excellence. It is a noble product born of its terroir, a beer
to be revered.
The bottles must be stored in standing position and protected from sunlight, heat and
sudden temperature changes.
How should you serve St-Feuillien?
A real connoisseur will serve St-Feuillien in a special balloon glass that is perfectly clean and
dry. He will start by gently pouring the beer while holding the glass straight without letting
the neck of the bottle touch the edge of the glass. A connoisseur will strive to obtain a
characteristic creamy and sensual head which releases all the unmistakable aroma of StFeuillien.
Of course, he will hold the glass by the base to avoid heating the beer ever so slightly and to
prevent alteration of the characteristic haziness that forms the body.
At what temperature should St-Feuillien be savoured? St-Feuillien Blonde or Triple should be
served either cool (6°C) or temperate (10-12°C) according to taste.
To savour the aromas at their best, we suggest that you enjoy St-Feuillien Brune Réserve and
Cuvée de Noël at an average temperature of 8 to 10°C.
Cheers!
For every party or event, there is a St-Feuillien beer to suit your taste: 25cl, 33cl, 75cl,
Magnum 1,5L, Jeroboam 3L, Mathusalem 6L, Salmanazar 9L.

Some key moments
Some important key moments have punctuated all these years of work and have contributed
to make the company what it is today.
• In 1957, Jean JORION launches into the selection of seeds for straw cereals, a long-term
project rownded with success in 1969 with the registration of the 1st variety, called VAL. In
1982, the Capitaine variety, at the center of an entire range, sets itself up as a benchmark on
the Belgian market.
• In 1972, JORION becomes the exclusive agent for CARGILL varieties of maize and rape.
• 1989 is when JORION fi nalises the setting up the “Ferme de Liessart” experimental station,
an indispensable tool for supporting its research activities. At the same time, the company
develops several experimental projects, in Belgium, France and Great Britain.
• 1997 is marked by the acquisition of the SAPSA-SES company’s cereal activities and
buildings dedicated to storage and seed preparation, set up in Jodoigne.
• In 1998, JORION invests in new high-tech infrastructures, namely a new totally
computerised seed treatment unit for cereals. This new unit enables the new requirements
for application of products destined for seed protection to be met.
• 1999 is also a great year, marked by obtaining ISO9002 certification, the first of this type in
Belgium for a society active in the seed sector. Again in 1999, JORION develops a 100 %
process which uses foam to ensure maximum contact between each seed and the
phytosanitary protection product.
• In 2001, JORION continues its expansion and develops a totally new bagging plant. These
infrastructures enmomentsable better management of the continuous increase in volumes
and guarantee speed of service, among other things for cereals and maize.
• At product level, 2002 is marked by the development of a new seed range for forage crops
and grass.
Research comes into play as well, since a new laboratory approved by the Ministry of
Agriculture enables germination tests to be carried out and the purity of the lots to be
measured with accuracy. Along the same lines, new work programs are set up in
collaboration with the industrial world and research centres, which enable defi ning new
work focuses for research and selection.
• In 2003, JORION strengthens its position yet further on the Belgian and international
markets
• New investments are made in 2004. Buildings as well as sorting and bagging grass seed
enabling the major development for this type of products to be met.
• In 2007, the new Hacquegnies unit, as always located on Frasnes-lez-Anvaing territory,
takes off. This new plant is ideally located, in the center of a large ariculture area where
cereal has a dominating position. Closeness to the motorway network (Brussels-Paris
motorway) and very easy access are first rate advantages, reflecting the company's concern
of also ensuring a service of excellent quality.

1998-2008
Focus on and expansion of three activities
Vandemoortele focuses on packaged consumer goods. It closes down its upstream activities
(crushing and refining) and its oil bottling and mayonnaise production activities (except for
Belgian brands). The focus is on three core activities: Soy Foods, Lipids (margarines and fats)
and Bakery. The acquisitions perfectly fit the strategy of expanding the core activities: Cottes
France (artisan bread - 2004), Colombus Food Belgium (donuts - 2004), SoFine Foods the
Netherlands (tofu and meat replacers - 2006), Erkens Bakkerijen the Netherlands (patisserie
- 2006), Gourmand Poland (bread and pastries - 2007) and Panavi France (bread and pastries
- 2008).
2009-today
Focus on business-to-business
Vandemoortele decides to focus on Bakery Products and Lipids and sells its Alpro soya
division. In both Lipids and Bakery Products, Vandemoortele holds a leading position in
Europe. Even more than before will the client be given an even more central position in the
elaboration and execution of plans and projects. In 2010 Vandemoortele takes over the
margarines & fats business of Van Dijk Food Products.
High-quality food products...
Vandemoortele is a family controlled food group with Belgian roots and a European outlook.
We occupy a leading position in our two core businesses, Bakery Products and Lipids. In
2010 Vandemoortele realised a revenue of ca 1,1 billion euros with 5100 employees working
in 36 production and 15 commercial sites across 12 European countries.
Mainly for retail and professional users (B2B)
Vandemoortele is a household name. Literally, as our margarines, oils, dressings, breads,
donuts, pastry products, patisserie and many other products from our portfolio find their
way into your life almost every day. Still, you may have never associated our name with
some of these product categories. That is because many of our products are not marketed to
consumers under our own brand name, but are instead delivered to professional users and
retail customers. We just happen to honour the tradition that it's not the name that makes
the product; it's the quality and taste.
“We love food"
But we do not produce just any food product. All our products are well-balanced
combinations of the general trends in food: taste, variety, indulgence, convenience, health
and environment.
Our vision:
Vandemoortele is a family-controlled group active in the production and sale of food
products in Europe.
We wish to create value within a perspective of continuity. To realise this, we focus on
specific activities where we hold or can establish a leading position and in which we can
achieve sustainable and profitable growth.
Our activities today are frozen bakery products and margarines & fats. We aim to expand
them through organic and external growth, based on operational excellence, innovation and
a clear customer focus.
Our mission:
Vandemoortele develops produces and markets frozen bakery products and margarines &
fats. We deliver them as ingredients and semi-finished products to professional users, and as
finished products to end-consumers. These consumer products are sold primarily under
private labels by retailers, although we also market them under our own brand names.
We are committed to being our customers’ preferred supplier. This requires us to efficiently
provide the customer with products at a quality, service and innovation level that creates
value for all involved. Our work is firmly embedded in close cooperative relationships with
our customers as well as in a profound understanding and active analysis of major consumer
and food trends.
In operating our business, we wish to respect society and the environment. We are also
convinced that the development of Vandemoortele goes hand in hand with the personal
development of our employees.

Vandeputte or the fabulous destiny of linseed…
Vandeputte, it’s a love story between a family and a company. And like all love stories, it
begins with a seed… ours is a linseed.
In 1887, in his mill in Rekkem, on the borders of Flanders, Wallonia and France, our
grandfather Gustave Vandeputte starts pressing the linseed…
Over time, and the idea is the seed, each generation Vandeputte brought its share of
innovations and investments in tune with the times.
Today, our family business has deployed itself as a group with a human face, a company with
a well developed corporate citizenship, an actor of reference in its Euro-region, radiating
across 5 continents from its location in the heart of Western Europe. Repeatedly honored for
its durable positioning, Vandeputte enjoys an excellent image.
Our recipe: giving good ideas means to achieve successes!
The linseed, we wanted to honor in this page, has allowed our family to develop three areas
of activity which we invite you to discover.
Two distinct entities united by our desire to ensure quality products, innovative processes
and thus the satisfaction of our customers...
- Soap (Soap and Detergent)
- Oleo (Oils & Oleochemicals)
Let’s meet… if we haven’t already done so.

Mr Jérôme STROBBE - Mr Raphaël STROBBE
It is based both on quality – their most important priority – and on their dynamism and
sense of service.
The STROBBE firm was founded by Jérôme Strobbe in Froyennes in 1929.
At the time, the family company specialised in the pork business, at the Chaussée de
Courtrai.
When the founder died in 1955, his son Willy took over the reins and developed the
wholesale beef business within the firm considerably.
By 1972 Strobbe had grown so much that the decision was taken to change status and
became an S.P.R.L. (a kind of limited company).
By 1984 turnover had grown so much - thanks to its management’s dynamism, skill and
business sense, together with the know-how of its staff - that the company again changed
status and became “Les Établissements Willy Strobbe S.A.” (J.W.S. 1929).
Willy's own sons Jérôme and Yves took over in 1990, which means that there have been 3
generations in succession since 1929.
The company is constantly looking to improve conditions and so the brand-new cutting room
(which meets the European EEC standards) is linked directly to Tournai abattoir in order to
maximise the cold chain and thus the quality of the freshness of the meat, whether it is in
quarters, cut or vacuum-packed.
We can guarantee our customers an excellent, superior quality product.
The cattle we select come from breeders and fatteners who work to SGS , PROMAG and
PROCERVIQ specifications.
We also take great care to adhere to animal protection rules and laws in order to avoid
stressing the animals in any way.
In addition to the AFSCA, there are two private bodies (INTEGRA and COMASE) which handle
the inspection of our cutting room. These regular checks ensure that our meats meet all
requirements and are subject to quality systems (HACCP, etc.).
