SAT Vocabulary Activities
SAT Vocabulary Quizzes will occur on Friday every two weeks. Other vocabulary from the novel study
may be incorporated depending on your unit of study. During the two weeks prior to the quiz, students
will complete activities to help them truly learn the words. Although the research varies, most studies
conclude that a person must be exposed to a word 6 times for a word to become part of their reading
comprehension, 13-16 times for use in their daily speech and a whooping 24 times to become part of
their writing vocabulary.
Activities will vary depending on time and student acquisition of the SAT words.
