WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?
Professor Simon Greenleaf was one of the most eminent lawyers of all time. His “Laws of Evidence” for many years were
accepted by all States in the United States as the standard methodology for evaluating cases. He was teaching law at a
university in the United States when one of his students asked Professor Greenleaf if he would apply his “Laws of
Evidence” to evaluate an historical figure. When Greenleaf agreed to the project he asked the student who was to be the
subject of the review. The student replied that the person to be examined would be Jesus Christ. Professor Greenleaf
agreed to undertake the examination of Jesus Christ and as a result, when he had finished the review, Simon Greenleaf
personally accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour.
Professor Greenleaf then sent an open letter to all jurists in the United States saying in part “I personally have
investigated one called Jesus Christ. I have found the evidence concerning him to be historically accurate. I have also
discovered that Jesus Christ is more than a human being, he is either God or nothing and having examined the evidence
it is impossible to conclude other than he is God. Having concluded that he is God I have accepted him as my personal
Saviour. I urge all members of the legal profession to use the “Laws of Evidence” to investigate the person of the Lord
Jesus Christ and if you find that he is wrong expose him as a faker but if not consider him as your Saviour and Lord”
HOW CAN I BE SAVED?
Salvation is available for all members of the human race.
Salvation is the most important undertaking in all of God's universe. The salvation of sinners is never on the basis of
God's merely passing over or closing His eyes to sin. God saves sinners on a completely righteous basis consistent with
the divine holiness of His character. This is called grace. It relies on God so man cannot work for salvation, neither can
he deserve it. We need to realise that the creation of this vast unmeasured universe was far less an undertaking than
the working out of God's plan to save sinners.
However the acceptance of God's salvation by the sinner is the most simple thing in all of life. One need not be rich, nor
wise, nor educated. Age is no barrier nor the colour of one's skin. The reception of the enormous benefits of God's
redemption is based upon the simplest of terms so that there is no one in all this wide universe who need be turned
away.
How do I become a Christian?
There is but one simple step divided into three parts. First of all I have to recognise that I am a sinner (Romans 3:23;
6:23; Ezekiel 18:4; John 5:24).
Secondly, realising that if I want a relationship with Almighty God who is perfect, and recognising that I am not perfect, I
need to look to the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Saviour (I Corinthians 15:3; 1 Peter 2:24; lsaiah 53:6; John 3:16).
Thirdly, by the exercise of my own free will I personally receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour, believing that He
died personally for me and that He is what He claims to be in an individual, personal and living way (John 1:12; 3:36;
Acts 16:31; 4:12).
The results of Salvation
The results of this are unbelievably wonderful:
My sins are taken away (John 1:29),
I possess eternal life now (I John 5:11,12),
I become a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17),
The Holy Spirit takes up His residence in my life (I Corinthians 6:19),
And I will never perish (John 10:28-30).
This truthfully is life's greatest transaction. This is the goal of all people; this is the ultimate of our existence. We invite
and exhort any reader who has not become a Christian by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ to follow these simple
instructions and be born again eternally into God's family (Matthew 11:28; John 1:12; Acts 4:12; 16:31).

INTRODUCTION
God is the God of order. In many areas we see the design of the Lord. This is seen in creation as well as in the
Scriptures.
In this short publication I have highlighted but a few of the numbers and patterns in the Bible and in creation to
encourage the reader to see another facet of God and be encouraged to study and apply the word of God to your life
GEMATRIA
Traditionally, and in the Bible numeric values have been assigned to letters of the alphabet, and various numbers, in turn
on the basis of Biblical occurrences have specific symbolic meanings. Very intricate numeric patterns can be seen in the
Scriptures in the original languages. A combination of values for words is called a Gematria
Numbers are assigned to letters of the alphabet as follows

The first five books of the Bible tell us of God’s righteous requirements illustrating salvation in the five offerings
The ten commandments are divided into five commandments towards God and five towards man
The anointing oil of Exodus 30:23-25 had five ingredients Myrrh, Sweet Cinnamon, Calamus, Cassis and Olive Oil

At the end of the sixth millennium the Lord will return to set up his kingdom for the seventh millennium
Cain’s descendants are given only to the sixth generation
Goliath was 6 cubits tall, had six pieces of armour, his spear weighed six hundred shekels and had a six digit brother
Nebuchadnezzar defying God’s vision set up a statue sixty cubits high, by six wide to be worshipped with six instruments

The heavens are divided into 3x4x5x6=360 which are factors of seven and eleven

There are seven colours in a rainbow and seven notes in a musical scale.
The seven in both colour and music are divided into a group of three primary and four secondary
It is found that where sounds harmonise the corresponding colours harmonise while discords in colour also have
discords in harmony.
8 - NEW BIRTH,NEW BEGINNING
Eight is mentioned eighty times in the Bible
The eighth day was the first day of the week
The eighth note is the first of a new scale
There were eight people in the Ark
Eight people other than the Lord were raised from the dead in the Scriptures
A male child was circumcised on the eighth day
David was the eighth child of Jesse
Elijah performed eight miracle, Elisha sixteen
Aaron and his sons commenced their ministry of the eighth day
There was a holy convocation on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles
In our Lord’s conversation with Nicodemus the word “born” is used eight times John 3:1-8
During the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ he was on the mountain an eighth time after his resurrection
9 - DIVINE COMPLETENESS FROM THE LORD
Nine is used forty nine times in the Bible
Nine tells of divine finality and completeness
There are nine facets of the fruit of the Spirit
Nine spiritual gifts are mentioned by Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10
Nine beatitudes are mentioned in Matthew 5:2-12
On the ninth hour our Lord died on the Cross, at that hour he cried out “It is finshed”
The Passover lamb was killed at the ninth hour.
The story of Sodom is from a gematria viewpoint littered with the number nine
10 - TESTIMONY LAW AND RESPONSIBILITY
Ten commandments were given to man to show the Law and Man’s responsibility Exodus 20
Ten times we hear “God said” in Genesis 1 giving testimony to his creation and power
Ten powers become powerless against the Love of God Romans 8:38-39

11 - DISORDER
We have seen that 10 marks the perfection of divine order so 11 by adding to it causes disorder. Similarly 12 we will see
is the number of Governmental Perfection. By reducing it by one the situation does not reach perfection and is therefore
a trend towards disorder
Having said that in nature we see in the table below a correlation between the number eleven and music with the number
of vibrations per second being a multiple of 11 in all cases.
Canaan was cured by God in Genesis 9:20-25 and he had eleven sons in Genesis 10:15-18
The eleven brothers of Joseph shows disorder having by their own plotting reduced the number of brothers from 12 to 11
The eleven disciples who remained after the defection and death of Judas Iscariot showed the fall from a perfect 12 to 11
The journey from Horeb to Kadesh Barnea was 11 days, another day would have seen them in Canaan.
Jehoiakim had reigned in Judah for 11 years before Nebuchadnezzar began his disintegration work on Jerusalem
Zedekiah reigned in Judah for 11 years when Nebuchadnezzar removed Judah ruling from Jerusalem
The eleventh hour is always seen as a bad thing a time where the potential for problems are at their greatest.
There were eleven plagues against the Egyptians in Exodus, blood, frogs, lice, flies, death of Egyptian cattle, boils, hail,
locusts, darkness, first born and Red Sea judgment

12 - THE NUMBER OF GOVERNMENTAL PERFECTION
The number twelve signifies government. It is found as a multiple in all that has to do with rule.
There were twelve judges in Israel
There were twelve sons of Israel. Whilst there were actually thirteen tribes (Ephraim and Manasseh came from Joseph),
only twelve are mentioned in any lists.
There were twelve people anointed in the Old Testament, five priests and seven kings. It is interesting that Saul was the
sixth anointed, six being the number of man, Saul being man's choice. David was the seventh, seven being God's
number, David being God's choice.
There were twelve disciples and twelve apostles. The twelve apostles will sit on twelve thrones

There are twelve gates, twelve pearls and twelve foundations into the New Jerusalem
In the mazzeroth there were twelve constellations

In all ancient maps of the heavens there was always 48 or 4x12 constellations
The heavens are divided into 30x12=360 degrees
The prophetic year was 30x12 months = 360 days
13 - DEPRAVITY AND REBELLION
Thirteen is found fifteen times in the Bible
Thirteen things were mentioned by our Lord giving a picture of depravity in Mark 7
Thirteen time in the Revelation the word Dragon symbolising Satan is found
Nimrod was the thirteenth in the line of Ham
The decree to kill the Jews in Esther’s day was given on the Thirteenth day
There were thirteen tribes in Israel including the two half tribes of Joseph

All the names of Satan are divisible by thirteen
Satan in the Hebrew is 13x28
Satan in the Greek is 13x13x13

14 DELIVERANCE OR SALVATION
14 is used 26 times in the Bible, it is a multiple of seven and therefore represents a double blessing
Jesus Christ died on the cross thus securing Salvation on 14 th Nisan
The Passover lamb was always killed on 14th Nisan
This can be seen in the generations between Abraham and Jesus Christ Matthew 1:14
There are fourteen generations between Abraham and David
There are fourteen generations between David and the Babylonian captivity
There are fourteen generations between the Babylonian captivity and Christ
In all there are 3x14 generations between Abraham and Christ or 6x7 generations

Seven is godly perfection and six is the number of man thus this indicates the perfect God man
15 – DIVINE GRACE OR REST
Fifteen is a multiple of five which speaks of grace and three which is the number of divine perfection
Noah’s Ark was borne by the Flood 15 cubits upwards Genesis 7:20
On the fifteenth day of the first month was the feast of Unleavened bread
On the fifteenth day of the seventh month was the feast of Tabernacles
These are the only two Jewish feasts that last for a week and represent fellowship between God and man
Hezekiah when he repented was reprieved from the sin unto death for 15 more years 2 Kings 20:6
The Jews were in Esther’s day were delivered from death on the 15th day having been condemned on the 13th day
Bethany where Lazarus was raised was fifteen furlongs from Jerusalem
Paul’s ship anchored safely in fifteen fathoms on the 14 th day [deliverance] after 13 days of testing Acts 26:21
16 – LOVE AND THE LORD
In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 there are sixteen things said about love
It is longsuffering, kind, does not envy, not proud, not puffed up, behaves well, not self seeking, not easily provoked,
does not think evil, does not rejoice in iniquity but does rejoice in the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things and never fails

It is the sum of two perfect numbers seven and ten
Seven is spiritual whilst ten is ordinal perfection thus seventeen forms perfection of spiritual order.
