MLA Research Paper: Doctors
Have you ever wondered what you want to do in life? Whether its a lawyer, firefighter,
singer or a doctor. With age comes a lot of question, so wanting to become a doctor at 5 years
old, became what kind of doctor I will be. There is a doctor for mostly everything, some for feet,
your face, and back or for the brain. Three doctors that most people consider are Cardiologist,
Neurologist and Pediatricians.
Cardiologists are special trained and skilled doctors to find, treat or prevent heart
diseases(“Cardio Smart”). With age, your heart becomes weaker and weaker. Going to see a
cardiologist, is much recommended as you age. Cardiologist treat a lot of diseases like: heart
attacks, heart disease, high blood pressure, endocarditic and many more(“Health Grades”). Those
are just a few of the many things that a cardiologist actually does. A statistic such as, heart
disease being the number one killer in the United States, cardiologists are more popular than
ever. It is becoming known that heart problems or heart diseases are killing more than all cancers
combined within the past few years. The probability of men or women getting heart disease are
quite equal(“Reedy Cardiac Wellness”). Cardiologists are doctors becoming known and even
more popular every day.

Neurologist specializes in something different than a cardiologist. Neurology is medical
specialty dealing with different disorders in the nerve system. Neurologists are trained to find
and treat neurological disorders. When most people think of the study of neurology, they think of
the human brain. In certain cases neurologist deal with the nerves in the brain, but mainly focus
on the root of your nerves(“Disabled World”). Cranial nerves and the spinal cord, are also other
places that the may look for problems. Normally during a check-up to talk about your problems,
neurologist check your neck, back and head(“Health Communities”). If you have problems in the
near future, and you believe it has something to do with your nervous system you can visit a
neurologist.
If you love being in charge of caring for little children, being a pediatrician is the job for
you. A pediatrician is a child’s doctor that provides health maintenance for children and gives
medical care for children with chronicle illnesses. They may work with babies, children,
teenagers and some young adults. Pediatricians order test, analyze data, and may diagnose
children with an illness. Over time, pediatricians come up with vaccines to prevent certain
sickness or illnesses going around. Recently they came up with a vaccine to prevent
HPV(“Career of a Pediatrician”). Another responsibility that pediatricians have is to answer the
questions that parents have about there child. Those are just some of the things that pediatricians
do.
