Summary of comments considered by the regional committee: Include comments
received in writing or during open hearings.

Committee recommendation: This is the recommendation that the regional committee
made to its own members.

Reasons for the committee recommendation: This should justify the recommendation
made above.

Final updated or revised proposal from the region: If the region is making any
recommendations to amend the Item under Consideration, show those recommendations
here.

Recommendation to NCWM for item status: The recommendation is normally by
agreement or by vote of the regional association, not just the region, and will be
considered as such by the NCWM standing committee that received the recommendation.

Regional Position: This is also a decision of the region association, not just the regional
committee.

Regional Report to NCWM: Please provide your report in this section exactly how you
want it to appear in the NCWM reports to represent your region’s considerations, support

INTRODUCTION
The Laws and Regulations (L&R) Committee (hereinafter referred to as “Committee”) submits its Report to the
Western Weights and Measures Association (WWMA). The Report consists of the WWMA Agenda (NCWM
Carryover and NEW items) and this Addendum. Page numbers in the tables below refer to pages in this Addendum.
Suggested revisions to the handbook are shown in bold face print by striking out information to be deleted and
underlining information to be added. Requirements that are proposed to be nonretroactive are printed in boldfaced italics.
