106763829 Redeemed Fellowship Church Fundamentals of Faith Statement of Faith The Bible is our all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. The purpose of this statement of faith is to set a basis for the fellowship among each other (that we all speak the same truths). 1Co 1:10 ¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Ac 2:42 ¶ And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. The truths set forth are held to be essential to any full- gospel ministry and are the basis of our Fundamental Doctrines. 1. The Scriptures Both old and new testaments are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God unto man; the infallible, authoritative rule of Faith and Conduct. 2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 1Th 2:13 ¶ For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 2. The one True God The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self- existent “I AM”, the creator of heaven and earth and the redeemed of all mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. De 6:4 ¶ Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the; and beside me there is no saviour. Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 1 106763829 3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ He is the Son of God; even as the scriptures declare; Ac 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. His virgin birth… Matt.1:23; Luke. 1: 31- 35 His sinless life… Heb.7: 26; 1Peter. 2: 22 His miracles… Acts.2: 22; Acts 10: 38 His substitutionary work on the cross… 1 Cor.15:3; 2Cor.5: 21 His bodily resurrection from the dead… Matt. 28: 6; Luke. 24:39. His exaltation to the right hand of the Father… Acts. 1: 19; Phil2: 9-11. 4. The fall of Man Man was created by God good and upright; for God said; “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”. By man’s own voluntary act of transgression, he fell and received not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Ro 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Ro 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. Ro 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Ro 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. Ro 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Ro 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Ro 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 5. The Salvation of Man Mans only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God; a. Conditions to salvation: John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 2 106763829 Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Salvation is a two step process: Repentance toward God. Faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. b. Evidence of Salvation; 1. Direct witness of the Spirit confirmed by the word of God. Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 2. An outward evidence of a life of righteousness and true holiness: Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 6. The Ordinances of Redeemed Fellowship Church Redeemed Fellowship Church the two true ordinances, which are clearly pointed out in the scriptures; a. Baptism by immersion (where and when ever possible) is commanded in the scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as their savior are to be baptized. This is an outward confession and profession to the world of an inward confirmation of the work of God that the believer identifies with the death of Christ and they have been risen with Him to walk in the newness of life. Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. b. The Lords Supper; consisting of bread and the fruit of the vine. They are symbols expressing our sharing in the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ; 2Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. It also is a memorial of His suffering and death as well as a prophecy of His second coming it is shared by all believers “till He come”. 1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 3 106763829 7. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early church. The purpose of the Baptism in the Holy Ghost is for the endowment of power for life and service in exercising the gifts in the work of the ministry; Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 1:6 ¶ When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth (Acts. 8: 12- 17; Acts 10:44- 46; Acts 15:7- 9). a. An overflowing fullness of the Spirit (John. 7: 37- 39; Acts. 4: 8). b. A deepened reverence for God (Acts. 2: 44; Heb.12: 28). c. An intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work (Acts. 2: 42). d. A more active love for Christ, His word, and the lost (Mark. 16: 20). The Baptism in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts. 2: 4). Speaking in tongues is the same in essence but different in purpose and used as the gift of tongues; (1 Corinthians. 12: 4- 10& 28). 8. Sanctification Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil and a dedication unto God (Romans. 12: 1- 2; 1 Thessalonians. 5: 23; Hebrews. 3:12). The scriptures directs us to a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12: 14). By the power of the Holy Ghost we are able to obey this command; “Be ye holy, for I am holy” (1 Corinthians. 10; 13; 1 Peter. 1: 15- 16). 4 106763829 Sanctification is realized in the believer by his recognizing his identification is found in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ Jesus by faith which is exercised every day of his life through the power of the Holy Ghost. (Romans. 6:1- 11; Romans. 8: 1- 2; 1Peter. 1: 5). 9. The Church, it’s Mission, and Ministry The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Holy Ghost with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Each believer is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn which was written in heaven (Ephesians. 1: 22- 23; Hebrews. 12; 23). Since God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and save that which was lost, to be worshipped by man, and to build a body of believers in the image of His Son, the primary reason for Redeemed Fellowship Church is: a. Evangelism (Acts 1: 8; Matthew. 28: 19-20; Mark. 16: 15- 16) b. Edification of the body (Ephesians. 4: 11- 16; 1Corinthians. 14; 12) c. Expressions of worship unto God (1Corinthains. 12: 13) This is the Apostolic pattern; one purpose demonstrated in three ways. The church is all three or it does not conform to the “New Testament” pattern. An over emphasis on any one part does not constitute this body as a New Testament Church.. Each aspect is fundamental, vital, and of an equal importance A divinely ordained and called ministry has been provided by our Lord for the purpose of completing the aforesaid mission: (Mark. 16:15- 20; John. 4:23- 24; Ephesians. 4: 11- 16). 10. Divine Healing As an integral component of the gospel, deliverance from all infirmities and diseases is provided for by the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah. 53: 4- 5; Matthew. 8: 16-17; James 5: 14- 16). 11. The Blessed Hope (Rapture) The bodily resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in the Lord and their translation with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church. (1 Thessalonians. 4: 16- 17; Romans. 8: 16- 17; Titus. 2: 13; 1 Corinthians. 15: 51- 52). 5 106763829 12. The Millennial Rein of Christ The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints which is our blessed hope followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to rein on Earth and establish universal peace for a period of 1000 years; (Matthew. 24: 27- 30; Revelations. 19: 11- 14; Revelations. 20: 1- 6). 13. The Final Judgment There will be a final judgment in which all the wicked dead will arise and be judged. Whosoever is not found written in the Lambs Book of Life, together with Satan and his Angels, the beast and the false prophet will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire which is the second death: (Mark. 9: 43- 48; Revelations. 19: 20; 20: 11- 15; 21: 8) 14. The New Heaven and the New Earth “According to His promise we look for a new heaven and a new Earth wherein righteousness dwelleth.” (2 Peter. 3: 13; Revelations. 21: 22) 6
