Scholarships Opportunities
The majority of the following scholarship opportunities are arranged by their deadline
dates. This is not an exhaustive list of opportunities. Students and parents need to
continue to search the web, the community, and individual colleges for scholarships. As
you find new ones, I would be grateful if you would share them with me so that I can
share them with future MCS students.
Happy Search!

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
The FAFSA is a required form you must complete and submit before receiving any
financial assistance from a university or the state and federal government. It is the only
means of receiving the HOPE Scholarship. The FAFSA must be done the 2nd semester of
your child’s senior year of high school and each year in college. You will need to file
your yearly income tax before completing the FAFSA form. Because some funds run out,
it is best to file early (mid-March at the latest).
