Introduction to DBI (BBA College): Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) is the
only ISO 9001 certified trade body in Bangladesh for its quality services. With a view to bringing
diversification in need-based professional skills & practical business education, DCCI upgraded
its Training Centre, established in 1991, into the DCCI Business Institute (DBI) in 1999. DBI
presently conducts Diploma/Certificate courses in Supply Chain Management in cooperation
with International Trade Centre (ITC) UNCTAD/WTO, Geneva. A number of 3 and 5 half-days
and day long training courses/workshops are also being conducted for development of forwardlooking entrepreneurs and business executives since 1991. Till date DBI has a number of more
than 15000 alumni working efficiently in different business organizations and contributing to the
development of the country. Besides, DBI, under the management of DCCI, has taken an
innovative step to start 4 year BBA program under the National University of Bangladesh from
2012 to create need-based business professionals suitable to face the challenges of
globalization.
Mission: DBI plans to conduct short, medium and long term business-related training courses
and curricula eventually to graduate as a full-fledged Business School for Entrepreneurs and
Professionals.
Vision: To emerge as a professional business school with wide-ranging modern knowledgebased education & a Centre of Excellence.
Awards Received by DBI: DBI, thanks to its quality services, received “World Chamber
Competition Award 2007” from International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris for “Best Skill
Development Program”. It also received “Best Partner Institution Award 2010” of International
Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva, among 120 partner institutions in 69 countries at the “MLS-SCM
Global Network Roundtable” held in Malaysia in 2011 by ITC for conducting post-graduate
certificate/diploma courses on Modular Learning System in Supply Chain Management (MLSSCM (P)) of ITC.
Admission Requirements for BBA Program: Students passing HSC or equivalent
examinations in 2011 and 2010 with minimum GPA 2.50 in both SSC & HSC examinations are
eligible for admission. Students passing “A” level examination in 2011 and 2010 with minimum 3
“B” grades and 2 “C” grades out of 5 subjects (3 subjects in “O” level and 2 subjects in “A” level)
are also eligible to apply, Applicants from Business studies, Humanities and Science Groups
must have minimum grade point 3 in Economics, Mathematics, Accounting & minimum grade
point 2 in English in HSC or equivalent examinations.

Admission Form & Admission Test: TK. 250/Admission Fee(once for four years): TK. 14,000/Tuition Fee for each semester of 6 months’ duration: TK. 15,000/- @ TK. 2,500/- per month.

Scholarship: DBI will offer scholarships including free tuition fees and books for outstanding
students with deserving socio-economic background. In addition 10% discount will be given to
the children of DCCI members.
Campus Location: The location of DCCI Business Institute is proudly mentionable. It is located
at Dhaka Chamber Building (10th &11th Floors), 65-66, Motijheel C/A at the heart of Dhaka
City. It is easily accessible from any part of Dhaka by bus, rickshaw, CNG, taxis, running quite
frequently and regularly.
