Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic
affairs/ improvements
 Academic Committee is responsible to interact with student with respect to
academic affairs & professional skill development.
 There is sound counselling (Mentor) system in the institute.
 Individual Counselor interacts with the student on continuous basis to ensure
proper academic environment and ultimate development of professional skills in
the students.
 Academic Committee, Discipline Committee, Anti Ragging Committee are there to
look after. The academic affairs and discipline of the institute.

Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance
 Governing Body of the institute is constituted as per guidelines issued by AICTE.
 The faculty members are recruited as per norms laid down by the AICTE. The pay
scales as notified by Ministry of HRD for Teachers are extended to the faculty.
Similarly, the Academic load is assigned to the teacher based on well-established
norms notified by AICTE. On the whole, the academic and administrative activities
of the institute are organized and implemented as per norms notified by AICTE.
 The learning and evaluation process of students is organized as per norms and
standard prescribed by the West Bengal University of Technology.
 The institute has several committees to offer good governance, viz., Academic
Committee, Purchase Committee, Finance Committee, Anti Ragging Committee,
Anti Female Harassment Committee, Library Committee, Planning & Monitoring
Committee, Staff & Student Suggestion & Grievance Committee, R & D
Committee and Executive Committee.
 Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance
Students give their feedback to the institute with regard to institutional
governance and faculty performance regularly, which is being considered &
action taken in the student & stuff suggestion and grievance committee.
 Grievance redress mechanism for faculty, staff and students
Director looks after Student’s day-to-day problems in Academic and
Administrative terms. Faculty and Staff of the college enjoy full liberty to
put across their suggestions & grievances to the management of the college
as well as to the student & staff suggestions & grievance committee.
