Select your school and then your class. If you teach two sessions of kindergarten your classes will be listed separately. You will need to select one class at a time.
If you want to enter all the scores for a specific student, select the student you wish to grade by selecting that student from the dropdown list.
If you want to enter the scores for all your students in a specific subject matter click on the Subject button.
If you want to enter the scores for all your students in one specific dimension, click on the Dimension button.
Use the Kindergarten Progress Report Guidelines to determine the grade you will enter for each item on the progress report. Once you have consulted the guidelines to determine the proper grade, you will select the appropriate corresponding mark from the dropdown list. Any item(s) that will be graded as Not Applicable at this time can be marked using either of two different methods. Method One: Select the X from the dropdown box. You must use this option if you want the Status counter to keep track of all your entries. Although an X will show on the computer screen, it will be printed as a gray box on the actual progress report. Method Two: You may leave any item that is Not Applicable at this time blank . If you choose this option the computer program will not keep track of your entries and there will be no way for your office staff to know if you intentionally left any items blank or if you accidentally missed a grading box. Empty boxes will also be printed as gray boxes on the actual progress report.
There are two different kindergarten progress reports, one for students instructed in English and one for students instructed in Spanish. If you wish to grade students on the Spanish progress report you must choose Spanish once you have selected the individual student you wish to score.
Kindergarten now has the option of dual grading. Dual grading will allow teachers to give students scores in both
English and Spanish. If a student is being taught in Spanish instruction it is not mandatory to complete the dual grading. You may complete the card without the dual grading option. The dual language option should only be selected if teachers want to show both English and Spanish scores. Choosing dual language grading will also make the ch, ll and ñ in the letter identification section.
If you wish to have a progress report printed in Spanish (regardless of the language of instruction) check the Print in
Spanish box on the EPR window. One copy will be printed in Spanish to be sent home, a second copy will be printed in English for the student’s permanent record.
Shortcut Keys: Using the TAB key will allow you to move down each column quickly. Using the SHIFT and TAB keys together will allow you to move up the column quickly. Use the CHECK ALL buttons to fill in all the boxes in that particular row. Once the CHECK ALL button has been selected individual boxes can then be unselected if needed.
After you have finished entering all the scores for any individual student you have the option of marking the
Completed box at the top of the page. Marking this box is for your convenience and is not mandatory.
The attendance boxes are filled in automatically. You do not need to complete the attendance section.
If you find you have made a grading error after the EPR grading window has closed, please see your principal.
He/she will be able to make the correction for you.
The comment area is OPTIONAL. You may add comments for as many of your students as you would like. If you leave the comment section blank the comment box will NOT appear on the printed progress report. All comments become a permanent part of the progress report and cannot be changed or removed from one reporting period to the next.
