T This course is intended for the LVN or VN graduate needing I.V. Therapy and Blood
Withdrawal Certification. Course if also helpful for R.N.s and nursing students who would like
to enhance their knowledge and skills of I.V. Therapy. Both certifications are included and
may not be taken separately. Includes materials and booklet. Students will be performing
sticks on simulation arms and on each other. Course includes homework and simulations.

Pr Be prepared for a dynamic review of nursing. This course will provide the learner with a
comprehensive overview to prepare for the NCLEX-VN. Includes test-taking strategies, body
systems approach, lab values, case scenarios and practice questions. Includes materials.
 Know the components of the VN test plan including categories and percentage assignments.
 Learn how to critically analyze questions for the “best right answer”.
 Recognize the correct “Nursing Process Step” to correctly answer the question.
 Differentiate lab values and diagnostic tests appropriate to the diagnosis.
 Validate scope of practice concerns for the LVN and in assigning assistive personnel.
Courses may be cancelled for low enrollment.
