Language Arts
1. Continued practice with alphabetical order of the first letter of words,
pictures, and people’s names.
2. Continued practice with putting events in order and using the terms
before, after, first, next, last.
3. Reading and applying the question words- who, what, when, why, how,
how many,what kind, and which.
4. Continued practice with propernouns, beginning a sentence with a
capitalletter and using punctuation at the end of the sentence or statement.
5. Practicing good listening skills.
6. Memory gems- continued practice with reading and identifying the
rhyming words, developing an understanding of the unfamiliar words, and
continued practice and memorization of the poem"Catch a Little Rhyme".
Math
1. Counting and writing by 2's to 100, using objects and the 100's chart.
2. Writing and counting 1-50, (increasing and decreasing order).
3. Continued practice with the (=) sign and introducing ( >) greater than

REMINDERS
* We still need volunteers to listen to the children read the “Bob” books.
The program will not start until Mon. December 13, because we do not
have enough volunteers for a rotation schedule.
*We need your child's library card for the bookmobile. The bookmobile
comes every two weeks on Monday.
*Mad scientist is every other Tuesday in the gym, for those students who
signed up.
*Keep saving Box op points and send into school.

*Please label anything your child brings to school with his/her name or
initials.
*Keep reviewing the sight words on the ring, addition flash cards, the
poems, and “Catch a Little Rhyme” for memorization.
*Send a flashlight for a special class activity.
* A storage bin or two to help us organize classroom materials, books,
learning center activities, etc. They can be purchased at the "Dollar Tree"
or at Wal-Mart.
