Embodied Awareness Facilitator Certification Program Description

Course
Expectations
This year-long program provides training, support, and supervision to individuals wishing to incorporate Embodied Awareness into their occupation or
to share skills and practices with individuals, groups, communities, or institutions. The program requires attendance at three 5-day Seminars plus
monthly meetings with cohorts and Mentors by phone, SKYPE, facebook, email and in person. Successful completion of 200 hours of supervised
practicum plus course work entitles the participant to receive Embodied Awareness Facilitator Certification from the Canadian Institute for
Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences. Transcripts for 150 CEU’s are available through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

To oversee, support and supervise the development of Embodied Awareness Facilitation and Mentorship skills.
To integrate Embodied Awareness practices and Embodied Inner Leadership Skills into the larger culture by training qualified
individuals as Embodied Awareness Facilitators and Mentors
To provide participants with training and protocol for facilitating culturally sensitive embodied awareness practices for
individuals and communities, to share with individuals, groups, communities, institutions, professional colleagues and others
To identify and respond to cross-cultural and transpersonal issues within group dynamics, and develop group leadership skills
To provide participants with guidance to incorporate embodied awareness practices into current profession.
To support participants in furthering their personal understanding and practice of embodied awareness
To provide a community of collegial support for participants.
Open to the general public: Educators, Helpers, Healers and Leaders: helping professionals, doctors, nurses, psychologists, social
workers, counsellors, human resource personnel, managers, teachers, trainers, clergy,
Limited to 12 participants and up to 6 faculty in training
One Year (13 months) training for Certificate of Completion.
Certification require full attendance in c 3 five-day ‘in the city retreat format’ seminars, plus completion of 200 hours of practicum in
the form of monthly meetings with cohorts and or Mentors by phone, SKYPE, facebook, email, or in person.

Inclement Winter weather conditions may necessitate short notice cancellation and rescheduling of sessions

Each seminar also includes one or two ‘open-ended’ community building group sessions with pot-luck dinner TBA by group participants

Tuition Payment: *Does not include travel, room, and board.
 $5,500 + 5% GST ($275) Payment Plans available upon request.
 $4,995 + 5% GST ($249) EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT: after submitting completed application, interview,
acceptance into the program and paid in full by Aug 15th
 $3600.00 + 5% ($180) Discount for EARLY CAREER Helping Professionals
 $1,995.00 + 5% GST ($99.75) for Level 1, 2 or 3 sold separately
 If you are accepted into the program: Half (50 %) of the tuition fee plus GST, must be paid upon acceptance to secure your
place in the program. The balance is due by the first day of the program.
Payment Plans, Work-study and Scholarships available to qualified applicants based on available on funding. Please include request
for financial support, or donation to our scholarship fund with application.
*Additional one-on-one mentorship or supervision optional, and provided by faculty members--fees are not included in tuition fees.

Must have a minimum of three years prior experience with and commitment to one’s own personal Self-development practice
(psychotherapy, self-development, mind-body-spirit practice, meditation or spiritual practice, and or professional training in an allied
field) or permission of instructor

EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 15
If you cancel your enrollment into the program 31 days or more prior to the start of the program, you will be refunded 50% of any tuition
payments you have made up until that date. If you cancel 30 days or less prior to the start date, you will forfeit any tuition payments you

Course Structure







Three 5-Day Seminars with the full group.
Monthly face-to-face supervision with Mentors
Monthly peer-practice sessions (in person –face-to-face meetings; or by phone / SKYPE / or closed facebook groups for remote)
Regular personal/professional/ check-ins and peer-review
Optional online interactive website (via closed facebook group)
Reading with monthly written assignments
Course is designed to collect a minimum of 200 hours practicum within 12 months (averaging about 4 hours/week over 48
weeks) In some cases a participant may need extra time collecting hours, and may still qualify for certification if hours are
completed within 24 months.

1. Introduction to Group Facilitation, group process, ground rules, creating safety, sharing circle, conversation circle and building
group cohesion
2. Explore the Human Stress Response: Neruopsychology and the Triune Brain; Heart Coherence and Neruocardiolgy;
3. Inner Leadership: Integrate information received through senses, cognitive thoughts, emotions, perceptions and subtle senses
4. Enhance counselling skills; Distinguish styles of listening; Cultivate deep listening-listening, Listen with one’s whole body
5. Introduce’12 Senses’’ as described by Dr. Ramses Seleem; Explore and Apply 12 senses using Embodied Awareness Practices

Participants are expected to be engaged in Self-Study Practices and answer (in written form) all exercisess in the course
materials (a minimum of 50 hours counts as “50 hours of practicum experience)
Meet face-to-face, by phone, or SKYPE, in dyads with cohorts (11 other participants) for a minimum of 50 hours of cohorts
practicum experience
Meet face-to-face, by phone, or SKYPE, in small groups with Mentors and cohorts for a minimum of 50 hours of cohort group
practicum experience
Provide 50 hours of Community Service offering embodied awareness training to individuals or groups depending upon one’s
training, background, interest and experience
Community service hours may be collected with co-workers, EA cohorts, friends, family members or as a volunteer within in a
community service placement (examples: church, temple, school or community center; health-services agency; suicide
prevention center, homeless shelter, youth at risk, rape crisis center, etc.) unless current job serves as placement (to be approved
of by core faculty or faculty in training)
To qualify for Embodied Awareness Facilitator Certification Participant must demonstrate successful completion of all
course work including participation in practicum training groups, complete all homework assignments and a minimum of 200
hours of practicum experience
Individuals who demonstrate excellence and skill may be selected to be trained as an Embodied Awareness Mentors and or assist with
future Embodied Awareness Certification courses
