Ásia Contemporânea I

SÚMULA DESCRITIVA
A disciplina procurará dar a conhecer e explorar a dinâmica das mudanças económicas,
políticas e sociais desde o final de Segunda Guerra Mundial na Ásia. A preocupação
será analisar de forma transversal a todas as regiões, questões como o desenvolvimento
económico, segurança, democratização e globalização. Serão estudados os casos do subcontinente asiático, em particular a Índia, e o sudeste asiático.

Democracia e Desenvolvimento na Índia.
Tecnologia e Globalização na Índia.
As relações de segurança entre a Índia e os seus vizinhos.
O papel do governo, dos grupos económicos e investimento estrangeiro no
desenvolvimento do Sudeste Asiático.
Os valores asiáticos e a democratização no Sueste Asiático.
O regionalismo asiático e a estabilidade no Sueste Asiático.
