Hanover, July 2012. First-class technology and globally strong service –
these topics are the focus of ContiTech’s presentation at the Automechanika 2012 (September 11 - 16). In Frankfurt, ContiTech will be showcasing
drive belts for the automotive aftermarket and air springs for commercial
vehicles in hall FOR.0, booth A05. With new mobile information sources,
dealers and workshops have key facts about the top technical products
round-the-clock.
The Power Transmission Group is showcasing its expertise as a specialist for drive systems: With its complete timing belt kits, the company covers
more than 90% of the vehicle population. The remaining range of kits continues to be expanded, including kits with timing belts and water pumps and
with V-ribbed belts and torsional vibration dampers. In addition, individual
torsional vibration dampers and overrunning alternator pulleys are also included in the premium product range. These products dampen the vibrations in auxiliary unit drives and lengthen the service life of belt drive components. Packaging now includes a new practical feature: QR codes. Customers can use these codes to call up the respective product information
page in the PIC (Product Information Center) online service, where general
information, technical data, parts lists and installation instructions as well as
comments about using special tools can be found.
ContiTech's range of tools has again grown considerably this year: “You
need the right tool to do a really professional job changing belts,” notes
Helmut Engel, head of Automotive Aftermarket at the ContiTech Power
-2Transmission Group. "We are expanding our assortment further to provide
automotive pros the best possible assistance in their work." Also new,
product films now show experts how to use the tools properly.
At the Automechanika, Air Spring Systems will be presenting air springs
for use in trucks, buses and trailers. The renowned development partner
and OEM supplier to the commercial vehicle industry covers replacement
part needs for virtually all commercial vehicle applications. A further important topic will be the service that the company provides. „We are continuously expanding our range of services, and are for instance featuring new
possibilities for mobile information access at the fair,“ explains Dirk Hoffmeister, segment head of Commercial Vehicles Aftermarket at ContiTech
Air Spring Systems. In addition, an extensive selection of training sessions,
online information and newsletters ensures that dealers and workshops are
always up-to-date with the latest technical advancements.
