Purpose
The “Helping Hands Scholarship Fund” was created in honor of Irene Fisher’s legacy as the
founding Bennion Center director. Its purpose is to provide a “helping hand” to students in need of
financial support as they fulfill their service commitments and serve as leaders in our community.
Recipients are selected who:
 Have at least three month’s experience as a student volunteer through the Bennion Center
 Plan to commit to at least year in a leadership position through the Bennion Center
 Have shown outstanding commitment to community service in their work
Recipients will receive:
 A scholarship of up to $1000 to support the recipient in their service endeavors.
 Opportunities to share their experiences with diverse audiences
