primarily to support the US Navy. Specializing in in Condition Based Maintenance, Reliability Analysis, and Software Engineering services, AOC has been heavily
involved in the DDG, CG(X), LPD-17, and LCS programs. Over the past 30 years, AOC employees have published over 35 papers in the areas
of naval combatant modularity and open systems architecture; and AOC personnel are credited with being the originators of many major new concepts being
implemented in the Navy today. From the development of advanced open concepts such as modular payload ships to building prototypes of open sensor networks
for automated damage control to support ships with smaller (optimized) crew levels, AOC has led the way within the Naval Engineering community through
innovation and transformational thinking.

Brief Description of Scope/Deliverables
AOC provides HM&E Open System Architecture (OSA) technical expertise to
develop and assess ship modular architectures and interfaces. The Company
offers technical expertise in tracking requirements for HM&E OSA
applications to ship acquisition programs – from the Capabilities
Development Document (CDD) through the architecture Interface Control
Document (ICD) down to Interface Configuration Management (ICM).
Additionally, AOC provides HM&E Architecture Interface Verification &
Validation (IV&V) technical expertise to conduct the necessary quality
assurance on OSA implementations – including inspections of all HM&E OSA
related drawings and ship platform and payload module interface test results;
and provides program management assistance to the Government in the
acquisition of ships and ship systems.
AOC provided support to Prime, QED, on proposed TEU lifting and
maneuvering system concepts for the LCS Freedom and Independent
Variants.
AOC provided support to Prime, QED, on proposed mission payload handling
system concepts for the LCS Freedom and Independent Variants.
