Students will learn how to use the data to make informed decisions in various functions of business. In addition, students will learn how to make business forecasts based on time series data. Spreadsheets and add-ins will be used for all of the analyses. MGT 353 Advanced Data Analysis for Business Decisions (3) - NEW Prereq: MGT 225 (or MAT 117 or 134 or 234) This course covers business applications of advanced data analysis tools. The applications include developing effective marketing strategies, predicting employee turnover, auditing, credit approval decisions and others. The focus of the course is on implementing the techniques using a popular statistical software package and interpreting business implications of the results. MGT 357 Project Management for Business (3) - REVISED Prereq: MAT 117 or 134 or 234 This course covers topics in management of business projects. Students will learn the specific skills that are required to effectively manage projects across a variety of business disciplines. The topics include project selection, scope management, team building, cost management, project scheduling, quality management, and risk management. Computer software such as Microsoft Project will be used. After this course, students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam. II.
