FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 2013 CLEVELAND FAUCET GROUP® RECOGNIZES MAINTENANCE PROFESSIONALS FOR A SECOND YEAR WITH 2013-2014 MAINTENANCE MANIA® SPONSORSHIP North Olmsted, Ohio… Ask any property manager and they’ll tell you – property maintenance technicians are the backbone of the multifamily industry. To celebrate the industry’s top maintenance professionals, Cleveland Faucet Group® (CFG), Moen’s brand of faucets designed exclusively for the multifamily industry, is proud to be a committed and returning sponsor of the Maintenance Mania® competition. The 2013-2014 Maintenance Mania season kicked off in August and will continue through April 30, 2014, with an estimated 70 local events scheduled across the country. Maintenance Mania, which is managed by the National Apartment Association (NAA) and presenting sponsor HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, a leading supplier of maintenance, repair and operations products to the multi-family industry, allows technicians to compete head-to-head in eight maintenance-focused challenges. The events are built on common apartment maintenance issues, like plumbing upkeep, fire and carbon monoxide safety installation and lamp and ballast retrofit, testing technicians’ skills and knowledge of the industry. “Day in and day out, maintenance professionals complete some of the most important tasks in an apartment complex, often with little or no recognition,” said Deena Cave, CFG Brand Manager. “CFG is proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts of these professionals and we look forward to continuing the momentum from last year’s outstanding Maintenance Mania season.” Aside from supporting the Maintenance Mania program on a national level, CFG will also have a presence at a number of local competitions where maintenance professionals will fight to make their way to the finals. The top maintenance professional from each of NAA’s 10 regions, plus the top 10 “wild card” overall high-scoring professionals, will travel to Denver on June 19 to compete for the title of Maintenance Mania National Champion, as well as their share of $20,000 in prizes. CFG created an original game for Maintenance Mania, which made its debut in the 2012-2013 season. The game highlights CFG’s ease of installation, and challenges professionals to remove the ceramic disc cartridge from a single-handle CFG bathroom faucet and use that same cartridge to complete the installation of a CFG kitchen faucet – all within approximately 30 seconds. CFG has one standard cartridge to fit all single-handle kitchen and bath faucets, helping reduce overall installation time, eliminating the need for extra supplies and diminishing the risk of installation errors. In addition to a common faucet cartridge, CFG products offer a number of maintenance technician-friendly designs to make installation simple and fast, like Quick-Connect Flexible Supply Lines, which snap hoses together with a telltale “click” to ensure a fast, secure, tool-free installation. These benefits contribute to CFG’s lower total cost of ownership, reducing maintenance time, operational costs and the need for replacement parts – keeping technicians and residents satisfied. “Maintenance professionals are essential to the success and viability of the multifamily housing industry,” said Doug Culkin, NAA President and CEO. “NAA is extremely proud to be able to shine a light on such an outstanding group of individuals through the Maintenance Mania program – and it could not possibly happen without the support of national sponsors like CFG.” For more information about Maintenance Mania, visit naahq.org/maintenancemania. ### About CFG CFG delivers real value in kitchen and bathroom faucets, showerheads and in-wall valves, with a strong foundation in design, distribution and service.
