A complete application must contain #1, 2, 3 and 4.

2. Please list all involvements/accomplishments during your time at SNC. Please read the following steps
to format your application.
I. Your application should contain 3 or more of the following categories. If an involvement or
accomplishment could fit under multiple categories, choose the category you think it best fits.
 Leadership (can include positional roles, change you initiated, an enduring legacy you have
created)
 Service (both in the SNC campus community and in the greater De Pere/Green Bay community)
 Activities (engagement in the campus community, which may include athletics, student
organizations, etc.)
 Academic Achievements (may include Dean’s list, published work, conferences presented at)
 Diversity (personal awareness and dedication to the development of a culture of inclusion on
campus)
 Spiritual Growth (involvement in spiritual development opportunities on and off campus)
 Work/Internship Experience (can be paid or unpaid, on or off campus)
 Honors/Awards (scholarships, other recognitions, etc.)
II. For each experience/involvement, please include the following information:

 Time Commitment: Can be listed as number of hours per week or overall hours. Overall hours
must be a minimum of 10 hours per semester to include on the application.
 Paid or Unpaid: Do not include the amount of pay, just if it was paid or unpaid
 SNC Service or Off-Campus Service: For the Service category, please indicate if associated with
SNC organization/department/program/class.
 Description of Experience/Involvement: Describe skills, accomplishments, and responsibilities of
your involvement. Please limit your description to a maximum of 5 bullet points.
III. Formatting
 For each category, format in reverse chronological order – start with most recent experience and
work backwards
 Use a bulleted format
 Do not use personal pronouns
 Write in short phrases, not complete sentences
 State present positions in present tense and past positions in past tense
 Begin each statement with an Action Verb (for a list of Action Verbs, go to
http://www.snc.edu/careers/docs/employment/resumecoverletterreferenceguide.pdf)
3. Please include a 50 word biography to be used in the award program if you are selected for an award.
Please note, your biography will not be used to evaluate you for an award. Possible topics to include:
activities you were involved in this year that made the most impact on you, a quote that best describes you as
a leader (must include the name of the person being quoted), acknowledgement of your biggest mentors,
post-graduation plans for seniors. Please write in third person.
Examples:
 Through his internship in the Norman Miller Center for Peace, Justice and Public Understanding,
Todd engaged in value driven programming activities which support the mission of the college.
The TRIPS program helped him explore the ideal of community in service to others, while
gaining a greater self-awareness.
 Mary has been very involved the last four years at SNC, but her experience in the TRIPS program
was especially life changing. As a result of her service work, Mary discovered the nursing school
that she will begin attending post-graduation.
