Accounting principles and is of relevance to all delegates. Day 2 covers an overview of
forensic accounting in the morning (relevant to all three programmes) and case studies in the
afternoon relevant to one of the three areas of law.

This course is compulsory for barristers, either during pupillage or within the first 3 years of practice.
Overview
This two-day course provides new practitioners with practical guidance in the use of financial information and accounts (both corporate and
individual).
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course delegates should:




Know what business, financial and accounting documents are relevant for the purpose of litigation
Have a basic understanding of standard accounting systems, both documentary and computerised
Be able to communicate more effectively with accountants and experts on matters relating to monetary claims
Be more confident in dealing with business, financial and accounting information in practice

There is a compulsory e-learning module to be completed prior to the course. If the module and assessment are not satisfactorily completed you
