Urbanization in the U.S.
Unit Summary
This unit will give the students an opportunity to explore the pros and cons of urbanization in the
United States. Student will understand that urbanization benefits society by increasing technology,
industry, and service-based resources. Students will also gain an understanding of the negative
results of urbanization, including degradation of natural resources and the physical environment, as
well as overcrowding in cities.
