Valencia Road is the largest major street in Tucson that then becomes State Highway 86 heading West. You can also use Ajo Way or I-19 (Ajo Exit) - both heading West. Once on
Highway 86 continue West through Sells and Quijotoa (these towns are on the Papago Indian
Reservation - Tohono O'Odham) to the town of Why. At Why turn left onto State Highway 85
South. Follow Highway 85 South to Lukeville, Arizona at the Mexican Border.
From the Mexican border
At Lukeville, US border check for entry as you cross the Mexican border, there is a random
check by the Mexican officials. As you pass through the border, there is a light system in front of
you. If you get the green light or (pase) you are free to continue on unless the flag you over. If you
get the red light, a bell will sound and one of the officers will wave you over to the left. Just over
the U.S./Mexican border is the Mexican town of Sonoyta. Stay staight right, there are signs
which direct you through town to Puerto Penasco, look for them. You will come to a stop sign
with an island next to the big gas station, veer to the left. Proceed for about 2 blocks, you will
come to a fork in the road – some signs will say Santa Ana, you don’t want that, veer to the
