The requirements to earn a Digital Marketing Certificate at the undergraduate level are listed under the general School of Business Administration's Certificates section of the catalog. Digital Marketing Certificate The DMC prepares students for careers in website design, social media marketing, and internet data analysis. Knowledge associated with this professional opportunity rests at the intersection between Management Information Systems and Marketing. Hence, the courses are designed to help students navigate this intersection and to develop the requisite skill set for successful career opportunities. Notably, the certificate addresses the need of both Marketing and MIS students to be skilled users of data and understand the role of quantitative data in decision making. To obtain the DMC, students must (1) complete all requirements for at least one School of Business Administration major; (2) meet with the DMC advisor; (3) complete the following required courses: BMIS 372, BMIS 373, BMIS 478, BMKT 342, BMKT 343, BMKT 460, BMKT 466, (4) complete one of the following courses: BMIS 365, BMIS 370, BMIS 479, FORS 284/GPHY 284, MAR 101L, MAR 102, MAR 111A, MAR 341; (5) complete the DMC application; and (6) receive a GPA for all the above courses combined of 3.0.
