If you visit me in the winter, you can expect the same temperatures, because I am so close to the equator that my seasons do not vary. My climate is warm and wet, so don’t forget your umbrella. I average 157 inches of rain each year, so it rains nearly every day. I am the Tropical Rain Forest. But you would never find a zebra or a polar bear under my canopy. Listen closely and you will hear the soft plopping of raindrops, the swish of vines as a sloth hangs lazily overhead, and the calls of over 4,000 species of birds. I am known for my leafy green canopy, my kapok trees, Bengal bamboo, mangrove forests, and a wide variety of other dense vegetation. Look closely and you will also see giant stag beetles, leaf-cutter ants, rhinoceros beetles, and Monarch butterflies. I am the Tropical Rain Forest.
