At Kao Brands successfully delivered an end-to-end VMWare and Windows infrastructure project. Working with stakeholders and third party suppliers in Germany, US and UK the project was delivered ahead of schedule and below budget.

Cola’s

European Headquarter in Brussels, Belgium. The project was scheduled to take three months but it was completed and delivered in two.

Efficiently and speedily carried out Infrastructure and Application Discovery role to help Capgemini complete one of its biggest commercial successes: A migration of 110000 users from Windows NT4 to Windows XP at

Her Majesty Revenue and Customs. On time and within budget. At the time, the biggest such project and successes in Europe.

MS Hyper-V and MS Server 2008 Core project to migrate out of support hardware, operating system, applications and file and print services onto a Windows virtualized platform using HP hardware, Windows Hyper-V virtual server, Windows Server 2008 Core and SQL databases. Migration included raising the infrastructure from 2003 to 2008

Functional Level. The platforms have to be built into an Active Directory and DNS integrated infrastructure. Located at 5 regional locations connected via a high speed network back to the main data warehouse in the south of England. This activity had to be conducted without interruption to services or adverse effect on current Service Level

Agreements.

The back-end consists of Windows Servers and PoS back office component such as SQL and Seagate Backup Exec.

Project Trials Deputy Team Leader – EDS contract at the Ministry of Defence, Reading,

Berkshire

In July promoted from Trials Analyst to Project Trials Deputy Team Leader responsible for facilitating trial activities, liaising with the Client, Service Delivery and Engineering teams.

Trials Analyst. Client facing, end to end User Acceptance Testing. It involves creating scripts from infrastructure component usage scenarios. It requires high and low level understanding of Netcool/IBM Tivoli, Citrix, HP Openview Radia, Oracle 10g, Unix,

Windows Server, Veritas Netbackup, Sharepoint/MOSS 2007 and EMC SAN storage.

Tools used include Borland Star Team 2005 and Test Director v8.0 SP2.

After running the test scripts, a report containing results is generated. o If the trail fails, the report would include the nature of the failures and if appropriate, possible work-around. o If a work-around at the time of the trial is not feasible, recommend actions and follow ups to be taken.

Infrastructure Analyst, Disaster Recovery - The Coca-Cola Company, European

Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium

Disaster Recovery project on applications that The Coca-Cola Company has deemed as critical to its business continuity across Western Europe. Applications were hosted at the

Brussels Data Centre and accessed by all regional/country offices in Western Europe.

Approximately 250 databases.

Determined Recovery Point Objective and Recovery Time Objective.

At the request of Coca-Cola, an evaluation and comparison between VMWare ESX v3 and Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 was carried out. The Microsoft solution was chosen for its simplicity and contribution to shorter Recovery Time Objective.

Directed application development teams, infrastructure teams and network teams in order to recreate the live environment in a Disaster Recovery Area located at a separate location in Brussels.

The logical components consisted of Microsoft Server 2003, Microsoft Virtual Server 2005

R2, Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g Express, Lotus Notes and ARCServe.

The deliverable was a complete set of documentation describing the end-to-end process of recovery, from a Disaster Recovery being declared to user testing and acceptance.

Infrastructure Analyst, DHCP dependency analysis

Application discovery and analysis to identify application dependencies on known

Reserved DHCP IP addresses.

It required detailed understanding of business requirement and goals.

It entailed carrying out discussion with architects, security teams, application designers, server and network teams as well as 3 rd party vendors and suppliers. The list of applications to be analysed had in excess of 600 entries.

The resulting nature of the report would generate delicate information that had to be treated with strict confidentiality.

Part of a programme whose objective was to carry out a technology refresh for 110000 users from Windows NT4 Workstation and Server, to Windows XP Workstation, Server

2003 and Active Directory. This also included upgrading the software delivery mechanism to HP Openview Radia 4.0. At the time, the biggest such programme in Europe.

Within the above program, was part of a team responsible for the architectural analysis of

800 applications and verification of their compatibility/certification for use in a locked down

Windows XP environment, Server 2003 and Active Directory infrastructure.

Packaging, testing and evaluation of full application architecture in a controlled test environment using virtualisation technology (VMWare ESX and VMWare 5.5), Radia and

Active Directory

Programme was deli vered on time and within budget, becoming one of Capgemini’s biggest successes.

Technical Role – Vodafone Retail, Newbury

Part of a programme whose objective was to upgrade the Desktop and Server infrastructure to enable the upgrade to a new Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) system.

Within the above programme, Team leader (2) responsible for delivering the design, plan and document a technical solution that would meet the clients requirements.

Solution consisted on the implementation of Windows XP, Server 2003 and Active

Directory.

The solution was implemented in 320 Vodafone Retail outlets across the UK, each having

4 to 10 EPoS terminals.

The quality of the work was outstanding and as a result achieved promotion.

Resolution consisted on troubleshooting TCP/IP through networks and Firewalls, identifying the issue and implementing a solution.

Issue was successfully resolved in 4 days.
