One 2-hour lecture and 2-hour seminar per week
Course is focused on the fundamentals of money circulation, finance and credit, basic principles of
financial markets functioning, including money, credit, securities and insurance markets, as well as
financial system of a country. This is the introductory course in finance. Core course objectives are:
to acquire fundamental knowledge in money circulation, finance and credit; to learn key techniques
of analyzing the modern processes and development tendencies of financial markets and financial
institutions; to study sections of monetary, financial and credit systems of a state; to study how
corporate finance and activity of financial institutions are organized.
The students will:
- study the professional language of finance;
- be able to describe the transactions of different financial institutions under influence of financial
globalization;
- be able to analyze and explain a conducted state financial policy;
- study the structure, tendencies, transactions carried out by companies, households and financial
institutions on the financial markets.
