SECTION 1.-

 INTRODUCTION:

1.

This is our body.

The human body has three parts: The head, the body and the limbs: arms and hands/ legs and feet.

2. The face has different parts: eyes, ears, nose, mouth...and forehead, cheek and chin.

 OBJECTIVES:

A) Students will recognize different parts of the body and the face.

 STUDENT PRACTICE ACTIVITIES

( GUIDED, GROUP OR INDEPENDENT PRACTICE)

1.

Match names with the right part of the body ( pag 4, New Science 1,

Santillana)

2.

Make a poster using magazines , cutting the different parts of the body from different photos and label them.

SECTION 2.-

 INTRODUCTION:

1.

We all have 5 senses: Sight( we can see with our eyes), hearing ( we can hear with our ears), touch ( we can feel through our skin), taste ( we can taste with our tongue), smell ( we can smell with our nose)

 OBJECTIVES:

A.

Students will recognize and associate the five sense with their organs.

B.

Students will apply basic understanding of concept in practice exercises.

 STUDENT PRACTICE ACTIVITIES

2. Match the senses to the parts of the body ( pag ? act. Unit 3. Book Santillana

3. Experiment and do the worksheet. Work in groups based on activity pag. 9,

New Science 2

SECTION 3.-

 INTRODUCTION:

Bones and muscles work together to move our body.

Bones are hard and rigid.

Muscles are soft and flexible .

We have joints where different bones meet. We use our joints to bend parts of our body. In the picture below we can see our mobile joints: (libro de Oxford p. 20)

 OBJECTIVES:

A) Students will recognize the difference between bones and muscles.

B) Students will identify the main joints.

 STUDENT PRACTICE ACTIVITIES

( GUIDED, GROUP OR INDEPENDENT PRACTICE)

1.

Match names with the right part of the body. (Oxford p. 8, ejerc. 4)

2.

What part of the body are bending? (Oxford p. 5 ej. 3)

3.

Make a poster using magazines , cutting the different parts of the body from different photos and label them.

Final Task: - Beetle Race. Senses stalls.
