Varian 940-LC Liquid Chromatograph Technical Specifications Design Overview The Varian 940-LC analytical to preparative high performance liquid chromatograph is an integrated, pre-configured, pre-plumbed system that can be controlled by Varian Galaxie™ Chromatography Software on a single computer or through a fully networked client and acquisition server. The high pressure, reciprocating single piston pumps with pressure module delivers consistent, reliable solvent flow throughout the HPLC system. The autosampler direct injection method ensures carryover of less than 0.01%. The Varian 445LC Scale-Up Module provides automatic column switching, allowing change-over from analytical to preparative operation. When using the preparative HPLC system, a third pump with a 25 mL pump head is used for sample injection. The UV or diode dual array detector is provided as standard — both provide high sensitivity and low noise. A fraction collector provides automatic sample collection. These specifications represent typical performance. High Pressure Gradient Solvent Delivery System High pressure binary gradient pump.
