SUMMARY OF WORK EXPERIENCE:
With twenty two (22) years hands on experience in constructions of large/small bore UG
(RTR, GRE/P and metallic piping fabrication/installation, mechanical & system completion
(testing, flushing, reinstatement and pre-commissioning) and other related field in plant
constructions. I joined & worked mainly in oil & gas and petrochemical projects on the side
of Project Management Team/Contractor (PMT/C) and Sub Contractors, from grass roots up
to mechanical completion of the projects, whose my primary task is to manage, prepare,
control, supervise, inspect and acceptance of all piping activities in a proper
implementation,application and compliance of the client / company, project procedures and
standards; contracts & agreements, administration/management standard operating
procedures, HSSE, PTWS, rules and policy QA/QC (ITP), method of statements and
documentation, project study, cost & job estimating, planning & scheduling, engineering
review of U/G & A/G piping drawings & doc’s, MTO of piping materials, fittings & in-line
items, preparation of spooling & weld mapping from AFC piping isometric drawings and
doc’s., total break down the inch dia of large and small bore piping, shop & field welds.
Controlling of specific worksite, schedule and supervise day to day workshop & field
activities to ensure proper utilization of manpower, equipments and materials that work is
carried out to high technical, quality and safety standard and procedures of the company
and assuring the daily target inch dia (shop/field). Manage, supervise and control the budget
man hour for equipments & man power, minimized re-works and lost time manhours.Controlling of all incoming & outgoing piping drawings and documents. Retrieved
project schedules as per project and client requirements and priorities. In addition to my
qualification in System Completion Activities such as; testing, flushing and re-instatement. I
am managing to prepare, review, supervise, inspect and acceptance of Test Package up to
physical testing of pipe line from engineering & drafting job of test block diagram from
Master P&ID and Isometric drawings with referred to the AFC & latest revision of line list &
material specification, attachments of documentations & formats, punch list review and
rectification, joint inspection & coordination with clients and sub-contractors for final
acceptance of testing, flushing and reinstatement. Managed, supervise and co-ordinates to
clients certified piping & welding inspectors for the acceptance of color coding system of
gaskets and test blinds/plates. Acceptance of temporary spools, test manifold, hydro test
pump, calibration of pressure gauges, set pressure of PRV, bolt torque procedures, NDE,
UT,PT, PMI clearance and other valid certificates & stickers. Control & verified (RFI) prior for
testing, flushing, reinstatement, bolt torque and other internal/external piping activities
assuring all “A” punch items are killed/cleared and hand signature & initials of all involve
personnel are available prior for test and for the final closed out of “B” & “C” items. Manage
and co-ordinates to Pre-Com Group, hand over of all tested Test Pack through transmittals
and e-mails. Closed coordinates to construction piping group regarding the outstanding “A”
punch items and “B” prior for pre-commissioning and “C’’ prior for start–up. Manage, control
and supervise the flow & filling of all Test Pack (“System Wise”). Simultaneously I am doing
field and engineering supervision corresponding to my area of discipline from controlling
and managing of piping engineering/drafting job, spooling, weld mapping marked-up, test
package assembling including test block diagram on the master P&ID file, field
modifications, engineering design revision, as-built drawings, documentations, progress
updating and monitoring. Select key subordinates and organize them to achieve the
objectives of the project/plan and to work as a team. Formulating construction strategies,
interpreting of technical specification, piping plan, isometric, and pipe support drawings.
Have the ability to negotiate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Coaching and
pushing sub-contractors and subordinates for early completion of the projects controlling of
specific project worksite. Prepared daily, weekly and monthly piping schedules and update
as per actual accomplishment on the shop/field welding daily reports (DWR). Empowered to
stop any unsafe construction activities if not following safety procedures.
Attending/conducting clients and sub-contractors, Piping-QA/QC and with the other
disciplines of co-ordination, important and internal meeting. Enforcing security and safety
procedure of the company and worked independently as a Team Leader. Willing to relocate
with other projects and to accept other related duties which it will be assigned by my
immediate boss and manager.
Specific duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for total project: Responsible for the higher management for job execution, cost,
planning and scheduling, dealing with clients and sub-contractors and handling the total piping
indirect & direct manpower in a view to execute the project successfully and ensure that project is
completed safely to the required schedules, engineering design & specification, budget and
quality.

Develop and implement project control system. Planned and study total scope of the project for
u/g & a/g process & utility piping as per plot plan. Prepared total take-off dia-inch for shop/field
joints, threaded/bolted joints, total quantity of spools, quantities of sheets of isometric drawings,
pipe supports, total number of test packages and MTO for pipe / fittings and in-line items.
Prepared piping organization chart, piping work flow and Test Package Cycle during testing.

Supervise/organize and coordinates construction activities during fabrication and installation of
piping spools such as; manpower & equipment mobilization, material requisition as per priority
and availability of isometric drawings, tools requisition as per manpower requirements. Organize
and supervised piping materials and piping spools lay-down area, separate SS & CS pipe &
fittings, separate spools area wise and ensured project color coding is applied on all piping
materials including gaskets.

Prepared 3-days, 3-weeks and 3-months work schedule as per project requirements and or
manpower, materials and equipments availability. Allocation of manpower, equipments and
identifications of materials requirements versus priority schedules and clients requirements.

Checked and supervised daily activities for Work Permit ensured all activities are written with full
description in order to easy understand by the Issuer. Ensured all manpower and equipment are
complied with the clients SAFETY requirements, such as PPE, ID’s, stickers vehicle access,
expiry of the Welding Machine Calibration and other important documents are in placed in the
projects.

Controlled and supervise the flow of piping fabrication & installation, ensured materials and spools
management system are properly implemented, to avoid double fabrication & material shortage.
Ensured all additional joints and Field Change Request (FCR) are coordinated with clients and
engineering head prior for fabrication/installation. Assist Cost Control for invoices of all FCR with
supporting drawings and doc’s. Applied final procedures of the projects (engineering & QA/QC
std. & procedures)

Supervise/organize and coordinates engineering activities of piping engineering drawings &
documents, draft and sketch shop/field revision drawings. Prepared final draft of revise isometric

drawings, ensured it’s complied with latest revision of AFC piping drawings & documents such as;
piping plan or GA, P&ID, structural & pipe supports drawings with referred on the latest and
approved AFC piping material class or specifications, line list and other approved related
standard and approved engineering procedures by clients.


Supervise/organize and coordinates with the engineering and material coordinator/controller
regarding the availability of approved isometric drawing versus the availability of fabrication and
installation piping materials/fittings and in-line items, ensured its complied with approved material
color coding and approved and signed by client and contractors QA/QC material inspector prior
for material withdrawal for piping fabrication and installation.
Coordinates and controlled the releasing of pipe spools from fab-shop, ensured it’s
inspected/signed by QA/QC Piping & Welding Inspector and ensured it’s encoded on the system
and properly delivered to area construction site with proper documentation of NDE/RT clearance.

Supervise/organize and coordinates test package assembling and documentations, prepared
master P&ID, showing all test limits of test pack, provide unique numbering of all test packages as
per “system wise”.

Ensured all test limits are accordance with the latest and approved line list documents, material
specification break and flange ratings. Ensured all attached isometrics, P&ID’s, pipe supports
drawings and related attached documents are latest revision and complied with the approved
hydro test method of statements. Ensured all line numbers are encoded on the system and
assigned test pack number on each line numbers prior for preparation and submission of test
package on the system.

Supervise/organize and coordinates a group of piping in shop fabrication, piping and welding
supervisors/foreman, material/spool & equipment controller, time keeper, safety officers and all
craft workers specially qualified welders with WPS ID issued by clients CWI. Ensured they are
qualified and capable with their respective assignment.

Monitored daily fit-up and welding progress ensured meeting target daily/weekly and monthly
schedules. Ensured current revision drawings and documents are utilized for installation and
complied on project clients engineering specifications and QA/QC welding and fit-up fabrication
procedures and standards.

Supervise/organize and coordinates with the higher management the availability, required and
additional manpower’s/materials, equipments & tools during pick period of fabrication / erection
and testing. Ensured all fabricated spools are properly delivered on the specific lay-down area,
and or in the nearest place to be erected on the working area. Ensured all piping materials/fittings
and spools out going are controlled and recorded by spool controller.

Maintain close contact to all section heads and managers during construction, testing, precommissioning/commissioning and start-up phases of the project/plant to ensure an adequate
flow of materials information to the sub-contractors to meet the established schedules, cost,
safety, and quality productivity objectives.

Take leading rule in providing a safe work place for all by assuring that contractors adhere to the
onsite requirements of the construction, health, safety, security and environmental plans. Ensure
that the contractors initiate any changes required to correct deficiencies identified through
inspection audits in accordance with Project Engineering Procedures and Specifications.

Develop and implement project control system, safety and quality for construction and testing
procedures of U/G & A/G piping. Keep daily diary that includes items of importance which may
become relevant in settling any contractual disputes that arise during the course of construction,
testing, pre-commissioning and turn over.

Direct the activities of designated subordinates staffs and members. Ensure that the staffs
members are maintain good working relationship with other members of the team, with the clients
as well as with the sub-contractors management staffs and construction team.

Identified the pipe line by system wise, test description (hydro, pneumatic, service, visual, leak
test or gravity test) and identified the lowest , medium and highest pressure for the fabrication of
test manifolds, temporary spools, gaskets and color coding test blind/plates and gaskets.

Coordinates NDE clearance at least one day prior for testing. Coordinates with the HSE regarding
work permits, barricades and sign in traffic areas, proper sign boards, and isolation of system,
isolated from equipments and or other system which plan shall be identified on the Test Packs
and assigned personnel at all test limits during testing of big/long piping system as well pneumatic
testing and ensured Test Package Flow Chart are sign-off of all involve personnel prior for test.

Coordinates and supervised daily work shop activities for the fabrication of test manifolds, test
blinds/plates, flanges, orifice plates, temporary spools and braces, ensured it is accordance and
complied with project specification and standards providing approved color coding of the same.

Actively promote the continual practice by the Sub Contractors of maintaining high quality
workmanship and their own internal pre-inspection to minimize delays due to punch list items and
repairs. Assist QA/QC and pre-commissioning group and sub contractors in identifying any
special requirements to be included during the preparation of test package. Verify the Sub
contractors is maintaining adequate quantities piping construction and testing materials, testing
pumps, hoses, calibrated gauges, recorders and spares.

Interface with shop and field piping engineers, ensure total integration of planned work scopes.
Assist in ensuring safe delivery of all construction target inline with the clients and contractors.

Provide and advice on project construction, installation and completion techniques, source and
implement innovative equipments and methods to enhance man hour minimization. Participate as
required, in the development and issue of weekly and monthly construction reports.

Closed co-ordinates to Planning, Engineering, Material / Ware-House, Civil, Structural and
Equipment departments for the next priority schedules releasing/issuance of piping isometric
drawings, expected arrival (ETA) and installation schedules of all piping items, equipments and
structures prior for piping fabrication and installation of pipe spools.

Reporting to Construction / Piping Manager and conducting and attending daily and weekly
important, progress and coordination meeting. Enforce safety and security procedures of the
company.
