The two Nations
The united states contain a rich society. Tens of millions live
a very comfortable life. They often create unreal needs. At the same
time, the united states contain an under developed nation, a culture
of poverty. Inhabitants of this nation are deprived of so many
essential things. But in Asia or Africa, the poor nations have one
advantage: Poverty is so general and so extreme that people have a
common goal : to change their situation.
But people who enjoy a high standard of life are indifferent
and blind to the critical situation of the poor. They believe that this
situation is not mortal. Some of them do not even accept that the
culture of poverty exist in the U.S.A At precisely that moment in
history for the first time people have the material ability to end
poverty, they do not want to do so.They cannot act. The rich are the
victims of richness. The lives of the poor are the victims of a
physical and spiritual misery
