Have you set up your study at Sona Systems?
I have a researcher account at Sona Systems.
See step 1 on the www.psychology.sju.edu/cep-experimenter.php webpage if you do not have an account.
I have provided a study title that is brief and not misleading
I used the same title at Sona Systems as I listed in Question 6 of this application.
Under "description", I have provided a brief description of what is involved in my study so that students know what they are signing up for.
At minimum, you should give them an overview of the topic being studied and information on what they will be asked
to do (e.g., view and rate pictures of XYZ).
I entered "30" minutes for the duration of the study if it is a 1 CEP study and
"60" minutes for a 2 CEP study.

I attached a signed copy of my “Thesis Proposal Approval Form”
This form pertains to thesis data collection and should be submitted after your brownbag presentation. If you are conducting other kinds of research (e.g., faculty research) or piloting your thesis project, write N/A.

For studies that use the prescreen function
If you are not looking to create equal cell sizes based on participant characteristics (e.g., want equal # of men and women), you can skip this section.
I have set up a separate “study” on Sona Systems for each of the groups I need.
If you are selecting for equal number of men and women, you need to have a study for men and a study for women.
Keep the title of the study the same and add a qualifier (e.g., Mood Study - M and Mood Study - F)
Each of my studies has been properly set up with a study title, description, duration, etc.
I have completed the Multiple Studies Grid on the next page and attached it to the application.
As part of the approval process, the CEP coordinator has to enter a time slot cap for each of the studies. If the grid is filled out incorrectly, it will cause a delay in the approval process. If you are not sure what #'s to put down for the
grid, please see your research mentor or Dr. Shih).
