Rationale
Currently, EFL teachers employ many task-based language methods, and teachers and
students are reporting it is resulting in impressive learning outcomes. Hence, more and
more EFL teachers are starting to focus on task-based language teaching or are paying
more attention to meaningful context designed in their own classrooms. To help students
develop communicative efficiency in speaking, teacher can teach their students by
providing authentic practice. Students would be interested in learning it as they can use
it into their real-life communication situations. As we learned a task-based approach aims
to provide learners with a natural context for language use. Under a natural circumstance
to learning English is very helpful. This is why we choose task based as our final report.
Lesson Plan
Topic: MRT
Class periods:
Students: Second grades of Junior-high school who have learned English for one and
half years.
Time: 30 minutes
Target Audience: Intermediate level students

Procedure:
Warm up
Teacher greets students and reviews some words about
Tourist by MRT. And he introduce some special scenic spot,
Restaurant, Macdonald, KFC, theater, hospital, etc along
the Danshuei station..
